Vosk's RLSA conversion by LDM

I only post "unique" or special builds here and I think this one qualifies. I was contracted by Fx-sabers member Vosk to do a conversion on an old RLSA saber that he had for years. He sent it along with a Vader MR board (minus the clash sensor) and off we went. the most difficult part of this conversion was developing a unique optics/heatsink module to work with hthe 3/4" emitter and make it small enough that everything could fit into the hilt. Check the pictures of the thick Poly-C and aluminum module, it is pretty slick. The next challenge (for a guy without milling equipment) was to turn a 3" long SOLID pommel into a hollow pommel with evenly spaced sound holes. I have included a picture of the trashcan with the shavings in it...wheeeew that was a lot of drilling and "milling" with the new drill press. To tackle the "no clash sensor" problem, I simply added a mom switch next to the accent LED. It is small and looks like the "main" on/off switch, since I recessed the real main on/off switch on the opposite side of the saber. Finally, I pulled out the "super secret weathering sauce" and made this baby look "worked with". Finished her off with a 3/4" thick-walled poly-C blade with 2' of Poly-P wrap and a mirrored tip. Enjoy!
