Very Old Star Trek Cricket phaser 1

I have had this cricket phaser for at least 20 years, probably longer. And I'm trying to find out a little bit more information about it.
I was in the process of researching new cricket phasers in the hopes of making one for my new uniform. While researching I noticed that my old phaser one seems to have different dimensions than the ones I see online. As you can see when I got it it is in first seasons deco of TNG. I posted one with a dollar bill for scale.
I personally love it so much and it is one of my favorite phasers of all time.
Any info would help
