Vash's Mark I Arc Reactor attempt WIP - New Pics and Video on Pg. 5

Since I've been on an Iron Man kick lately, I decided to finally get one of these done, so after a few hours work from designing to routing, here's where I'm at.

I still need to color the clear plex to a teal hue, add the inner silver ring, middle light and the outer ring before the "Proof" circle.
Of course, paint, copper wire and lights will also be included.
I may also tweak the sign to have a more accurate font.

I know other folks have done this before and better, but I figured since I can't afford to buy one right now, why not make it cheap while I still have the tools available.
Anyway, I'll post more progress as I get them.

Here's my progress so far:

I made a new plaque with a more accurate font and improved some of the details.

Still need to do the wire wrap, make the housing, which will replace the ring I made which is a bit too big. I'm also going to try to do the middle wring in alluminum or find a chrome ring at the hardware store.
All I need to do now is paint, add the screw details, lighting and get a box case and I should be done!

WOAH!!!! When can I get I get one of thoses? Finally remembered to check this out after not being able to see the pics and I understand why its gotten a great response; keep up the work and let us know if you decide to make more.

Were the copper wired blocks part a found item on the screen used prop? I noticed a similarity to a part inside a hard drive.

Don't know much about this apart from the pictures, but it would be cool to find out if any are found parts.

Anyway, I tried seeing what a wire wrap would look like and I think it looks pretty decent.
I also found one of those tap light housing was perfect as a stand in until I make a the permanent housing for the arc reactor.
Still need to add color, but I think it's getting there:

As for kits, let's just say, this one has a couple of friends

I was able to rout out the housing, added a bit of color and played with the levels of the different parts. Until I get the green colored transparent plastic, I'm going to tint this clear green for now. I will then be able to glue everything together and then do all the wire wrap.
I think the lights will be a pretty easy thing to do and the hardest is making the acrylic case for this.
