Nichrome wire. Goes from cold to hotter than the sun in less than 8 seconds.

I'm looking at building one of these and it seems finding the right heating elements is the key.

Did you wind your own or find nichrome elements someplace like a toster oven or something???

I can tell you this, there is a MAJOR difference between the quality of parts a machine like this will pull vs. one that utilizes a kitchen oven and shop vac.

For sure. Even heating of the sheet is crucial.
It came pre-coiled, but I had to stretch it and mount it.

Gino... now that you've had this going for awhile, have you made any modifications or are there things you'd do differently if you built another one today?
