UPDATED! Lots of new Captain America pics! SPOILERS AHEAD !!!

^Yeah!!!, America...F* Yeah!!! It would be un-American not to see this film. Still not happy about how they changed the Nazi stuff to Hydra so much to push toy sales, but I have to admit that I am going to check this one out on opening night.

I'm kinda digging Cap in the heavy leather jacket and army helmet and that triangular shield. Color me happy that the triangular shield appears to get more than a bit of screen time.

A couple of nitpicks....

Skinny Steve's voice didn't work too well in some parts... and well, frankly Skinny Steve overall worries me, there are parts of him that just don't look so good in the trailer - I hope they get right to Cap to avoid too much Skinny Steve. ...and I don't think the music fit towards the end - too modern.

Other than that, it looks pretty good. The shield looks amazing... They used the word Nazi...

Why isn't this opening 4th of July?!?

Pre-serum Steve Rogers is the key element for connecting with the audience. He is the one who the audience is going to root for from the start. His presence is essential to establish the character of Captain America and thankfully isn't rushed. That grenade scene is of my one favourite parts from the trailer.

The Tool music though not relevant to the era, really fits to give the action scenes the required punch.

July 4 would be a Monday, so they could have released it on July 1. Harry Potter is releasing on July 15 that will be one week prior to Cap now. Harry Potter will remain strong in its second week, so Cap has some tough competition at the box office.

Anyone know what is at the ends of the center Star on the Shield?

At first I thought it was recessed circles but now I'm thinking they are Pins or bolts to mount the Arm straps on the underside, what do you RPFer's think?

In this Photo you can see one of the "Bolts or rivets" shining at an angle:

Even on the Toys and Plastic Shields they are raised.

Read through all 15 pages, and saw the pics of the Howling Commandos, Where is Nick Fury? For Continuity sake how will they tie in Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury (modern day Fury)? Just wondering.

Skinny Steve is also kinda shaky CGI at times - sometimes he works, sometimes he doesn't. I've seen great digital grafting of Evans' face and I've seen some of it in the trailer that just looked poor... I'm afraid if we get too much Skinny Steve, it will take us out of the movie.

I think that maybe they're just stressing how-true-of-heart Steve is a little too much. Yes, it's the core of the character - but, the trailer really, really shoves it down our throat.

46 & 2 is a great song... just didn't fit too good to me.
