i should be able to mount the blades here soon, so when thats done and i do some testing, i will move this over to the junkyard for a intrest and sales thread, so if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know so i can offer the best product for the money. this will be a short run of swords, i need to recoup costs of 3 handles so these wont be uber expensive either.

The sculpt looks good, It is refreshing to see a TV handle finally without the bronze collar. The only thing I have no idea about is the color. I know the handle is supposed to be aged ivory (or at least resemble it) But I remember in the show that the handle was normally a very high gloss white. Just as the movie handle was more of an aged yellowed color. So I really have no idea which would be more accurate, yellowed ivory or high gloss white finish.

Because it is supposed to be aged ivory I think I would keep the yellowed look myself.

i thought at also but check these out..

right now i have 10 hand forged THROUGH hardened blades with a blood groove. i can get special ordered blades if needed but these are very well done and cut quite nicely... they all come with wooden sheaths thats been laquered...

What blade do you plan on attaching to the H2? I might be interested, pending type/price.

The "neck" area on the Season 1 series sword is still a bit too thick.....
also the head itself is severly undersized....
Check out Sal Daquila's (the original artist) swords and you will see what i mean.
the KEY feature of that season 1 prop is that the handle itself is SKINNY.... ALOT skinnier than the later Marto versions.

As for the H2/hybrid...... looking alot better on the "tail"...... the thin version looks alot closer.... good job on that.

i know the season 1 prop is skinnier, but i am trying to keep away from copying the handle outright. i have mounted a blade on it and love its feel, i think it will work out, its the same diameter as a samurai handle. i like the H2 progress a little better but i dont want to make it look any more like the original than i can. and i know none of the swords had the blood groove, again i am trying to keep it similiar but seperate. however if someone wants to get a handle fully set i have several blades without the groove. thanks for the words guys, i appreciate it.
i should have the h2 cleaned and cast by the first of the week and i am pretty excited about getting them mounted so i can test them a bit.
please keep em coming, when i started this project there were a lot of peoples input but it seems to have tapered off.

I think your progress thus far is pretty impressive. Personally, I've always been partial to the Marto sword from the series, even when they stopped painting the copper neck band. And I've always preferred the sword from the first movie, with it's plain white handle/no wash and the visible pin in the grip. All that aside, it doesn't take anything away from what you've accomplished with those. They are very nice on the eyes.

thank you, i like the marto also, im making a working marto handle for me, same as everything, copper neck and all but solid resin handle with a fiberglass core and a working blade...

ok heres the new season 1 cast, i chose to use a resin called task-9, its used for hammers... it comes out in a nice white color... i shoudl have a test handle for the new and improved conner H2 for all you discering fans lol... they are really close to being finished and i will have several to let go... to help recoup costs, so if you think u want one let me know... i want to make sure you get the blade you want... if you dont care if it has a blood groove then were good lol...

Sheesh, that looks better than the prop itself!

Hey, so how are these going to be functional since plastic and resin can break under stress?
