Underworld Selene P99 (Light Gun Conversion)

Hey everyone,

You all know that UK gun laws have pretty much screwed up alot of collectors over here, me being one of them!

So in a coke zero induced high I decided to try and find some alternative options for owning some of the replicas I have been dying to get for ages!

The first one that popped up was the P99 with laser sight that Selene uses in Underworld. Nice little replica that looks (look Selene) damn hot! :love
I wanted a decent replica with the sight that wouldn't cause my wallet alot of heartache and then I found one of these on evilbay :angry

Not a bad little gun for £8, wireless and when compared to one of the originals, there is not that much difference. Though the light gun looks alittle longer in comparison or it could be the angle it's on?

Obviously all the buttons/logos etc will have to be removed but all in all this should turn out to be a good little replica when painted up and finished.

I haven't received this item yet, so i'm only guessing and trying to work on some upgrade ideas. Metal barrel maybe? Replace the laser sight with a light pen?

So, I would like to draw on your wisdom and ask if anyone else has done the same conversion? Any problems, hints or tips? Any advice would be much appreciated as this will be my first attempt! :wacko

:D Thank you

It's the Joytech Wireless Sharp Shooter Arcade Gun, available from any good game store :) or of course fleabay. :thumbsup

Would love to see someone else tackle this aswell.

I will post up some more pictures when it arrives, that will give me an idea of how much work is going to be needed.

I looked at this option but didn't fancy building the laser sight, also i'm hoping the light gun has abit more weight to it and it will also be hollowed out for the electronics so I should *fingers crossed* be able to add details like metal barrel, working laser sight etc.

If this works out I hope to do something similar with the Beretta's.

Thank you very much, this could be a fun little project to "fine-tuning" some painting skills!:):thumbsup

Good find, the joytech looks like a really good match. I take it the second picture is what we are aiming to achieve here? Best of luck with the conversion, shows us your progress as you go!!

There was another toy version of this on ebay some time ago. I'm sure it was German, i bought two of them.
They came witha light up torch attachment, and the basis of it is the red sight part. I started to alter one, but never finished it. Heres a photo of them.
They fit the marazun P99, which i what i got it for, but it will need some sort of rail made to hold it on else it falls off.

Well the light gun has arrived!

It's going to need quite abit of work, only the trigger works. Abit dissappointed as a thought the slide worked aswell, but that must have been on another model.

Are they made of plastic? Any moving parts?

I bought the German (it has "Wicke" and a gold pyramid design on the grip IIRC) a few years ago from a European ebayer; pretty decent, LED "laser", silencer and vinyl "007" holster...

I almost immediately upon arrival hacked it up for blaster contest mods, still have bits here and there someplace...

That looks like it might just make a good project!!
Great find!
I'm off to the bay to get me one.........
