Im going to hopefully get started very soon. I still need to get a moleskine book for the journal though. By the way d_jedi, did you ever finish your among thieves one?

Darth, how is the journal coming along? I have decided not to attempt this myself as the journal isn't seen nearly as well as the one in among thieves. I might even grab a journal and just paint the cover.

I basically did draw the emblem on the cover with a pencil. Then I took a Dremmel with an engraving tip and lightly carved out the penciled drawing. It came out a bit rough around the edges but I sanded it down and smoothed it a bit.
Then I took gold acrylic paint and painted in the dremmeled areas.
Haven't done more images for the book. Been busy with other stuff. Ill probably start on them soon though.
Thank you very much!!! So since I have your attention.. On the Among thieves journal I have a problem. No matter what I do I cant seem to find the right paper for the last 12 pages... The ones you tape in... I was wondering if you could tell me the paper you used or if that doesn't work I would pay you like 150 bucks or more if you printed them out and sent it to me.... IDK what to do at this point I'm kinda stuck....

I've been waiting for someone to tackle this ever since I first played the game. I knew right off the bat - "this is the next Grail diary prop waiting to happen".
I would have done it myself out of interest...but I don't do paper props. I have had one too many crowbar-involved feuds with feisty printers to try something like this.

great job on the emblem on the cover ! i did a U2 diary awhile back but bought a weird moleskin book and the outside of the book is crap almost looks like tan construction paper but the inside turned out awesome. wish i could have found a book like yours. keep up the great work man!!!

I started working on one but never made it past the outside. The color on mine looks decent and the emblem is... well, as good as I can get it on this moleskine book. but I never started on the inside. PLUS, I wanted something actually leather.
I got two of these.

The pages that come with it are WAY too small so I cannibalized a moleskine sketchbook and trimmed down the pages. My trim-job sucks but you get the idea.

For those interested I took some snaps of the journal, manifest log and map while playing.
The text is difficult to make out on several of them even with tinkering in PS.
Once I finish game 2 and 3 I'll go back through and see if I can get some more like the German topographical map of the island found in the U-Boot.

@Darth Saber, how the hell did you managed to do the logo on the cover?
Did you drawn it by yourself basing on this on screenshot/snap ???
Or did changed any excisting drawing to match as close as possible?
Would love get some info. on this.

The logo was a quick and dirty type job.
I drew the logo with pencil then I took a small engraving machine that my wife had and lightly traced over the pencil drawing. Once I was done i took gold acrylic and painted in the area.
