Hi Guys.
Here comes a new Grail diary post.
So one of my life missions was allways to make the grail diary. I knew this when I was 11 and Im now 44 and still doing it.
Anyway, way back in 2018 I created the ''Tool grail diary'' It was inspired by Indy's quote: ''a complete record of his search for the holy grail'' This is the perfect description of the diary if you ask me. ''A complete record of his search.'' Like a Tool used in search for the grail. Hence ''Tool diary''
Exactly!
This is how the grail diary should be! A journal with scribbles, notes, clues, drawings, maps and whatnot. No story taking us from start to finish, no personal stuff written in it, just a record. (You can read more about how I created it in my earlier threads.)
Now, after about 6 years I have updated the Tool diary to the Tool diary 2.0 and I absolutley LOVE how it came out. It just feels like Henry's book. Feels like what I imagine it must feel like in the Zepplin scene when Henry looks thru it. This was allways my goal. Its amazing!
So, I refurbished about all pages and redid much of the handwriting. The invented handwriting itself is identical to the real style of the propmaster, so it blends extremly well with the orginal handwriting. The orignial drawings are exactly that original high res scans from a real diary. However, the ''invented'' pages are done by me. And after refurbishing the additional invented pages the quality print is now in an even higher quality finish. I aslo took away a few pages and inserts from the older model that I didn't vibe with anymore. Reason for that is after living with the Tool diary for so long certain stuff just falls out of vibe. However, I did add new additional pages and inserts. I also gave it a new page order. Nothing crazy but moved a few spreads around to fit the flow even more.
And the best part about this book, its made for everybody to get and enjoy.
Here are a few pictures. Would be fun to hear what ya'll think.
''we're going the wrong way, my diary ish'n Barlin''
Cheers
Holt
Enjoy
