Greetings! I'm planning on making a short Uncharted fan film during this summer, and right now i am at the stage of props and costuming.
One of the hardest things to find on a budget was Nathan Drake's wristwatch. But after looking around on AliExpress i found this watch that closely resembled the watch that Nathan wears in uncharted 4, with the saddle strap and everything for about 14 dollars.
So i ordered it and made some adjustments to it, making it look like it's been on an adventurers wrist.
First step was removing the watchcase from the saddle strap and masking off the watch crystal to protect it during the weathering process.
The second step was adding scuffs and scratches with sandpaper and steel wool.
The third step i did was adding stitching to the straps with needle and thread and coloring the stitching black with a sharpie.
For the fourth step i did some weathering to the straps with some spray paint and a damp rag, and scuffed it up a little with some sandpaper.
After completing these steps and assembling it back together here is what i was left with.
