Ultimate Harry Potter Costume Thread (Harry and maybe Ron)

Hello again,
Most of you probably won’t see this post until the site undergoes the much-needed revamp. Anyways, I’d been searching for any Harry Potter info in this section of he forum, but unfortunately, many posts are years old or have broken links/photos. So I decided (with the help of the Making of Harry Potter Tour’s wonderful photo references) to relight the fuse on the many outfits of Harry Potter (and maybe Ron). I don’t have a 100% complete reference gallery yet, so I’ll post what I have:
One of Harry’s most iconic outfits is the one he wears on the train to Hogwarts the first time:

Here’s a screenshot of the bottom of the shoes if anyone can identify them:

While the Hogwarts uniform isn’t very unique to Harry, I thought I’d post about it here too:
The sweaters (as far as I know) were custom made for the Columbus productions along with the shirts and pants. The ties, however, I’m pretty sure were found items. Ben and Silver sells what appear to be the original(or at least 100% accurate) Gryffindor ties:

The shirts and pants I am still unsure about.The cloaks were custom made, so make of that what you will.

I’ve discovered that the shoes are brown leather Rockport hiking boots. While the pair below isn’t identical, I think it is evidence that I’m on the right track:

About those sweaters from the first two films, I discovered that Lochaven also manufactured those, and they have put the sweaters back into production! While the sleeves are not raglan as in the films, if you custom order a sweater without the embroidery, you can end up with something very accurate:

Since I haven’t found much in the way of the chamber of secrets costume outside the uniform. I decided to step over a bit for his costume in the third installment. Starting from the third film onwards, there is a radical change to just about everything in the series. As such, the robes and uniforms undergo a change that persists for the rest of the series. While I don’t have any positive leads for the shoes, I can recommend the sweaters at the Lochaven website. I posted a link to it earlier, and from there you can navigate to the selection. If you want to be accurate to Harry and Ron, grab the regular sweater version, but tank top and cardigan versions are also available for those who want them. Lochaven also has some nice ties that will do the trick. I know the shirt and pants underwent changes too, and Master Replicas did make replicas available, but I’m not sure how accurate those are so I’ll go back and double check.
Also, I forgot to mention the most important part of any Harry Potter costume: the glasses! Fortunately, trusted member Indy Magnoli has made some smashing replicas of the potter specs:

So I was looking through some Goblet of Fire screenshots when I noticed something interesting:

While it appears to be the same jacket from Prisoner of Azkaban, it clearl isn’t. One can tell by seeing that hte inside collar here is gray as opposed to black on the previous one (see previous post). Harry also wears a red shirt and some pants I have yet to find a good shot of. Here’s a nice photo of one of his other non-uniform getups:

Time for a Order of the Phoenix photo dump:

Something that bothers me is the fact that the last two movies also had a black track jacket with stripes, and for each movie, rather than resuse th older jacket, acquired new ones. Yes, I understand that Daniel was still growing some, but in Prisoner of Azkaban, that jacket looked a little big. Either ways, this one has four stripes with only two of them going down the sleeves. Since I can confirm the shoes as being Converse Low Tops, all I need to do is find the right color.

Half Blood Prince photo dump. Due to the desaturated look and dark lighting from the award-winning cinematography, it wasn’t easy to find great photos, so I tried my best:

I know the checkered shirt worn in some scenes is a Levi’s shirt:

And believe it or not, the black/white track jacket for this installment goes back to two stripes, but has a white stripe inside the collar, making this another new jacket.
For my next post, I have a heap of information to talk about, so that one won’t be as screenshot heavy.
