Thanks for all the kind words

The video shows the working spring loaded slide, working safety, spinning side wheel things, magnetic holster and bullets in the clips.

Still working on getting that posted

Ultimate indeed. You've taking something which never quite hit the mark and transformed it into something special. Excellent work!

Holy wow. That is just an exceptional job -- it blew my mind to see that! I think you are right on when you say that this is the "Ultimate" Begins Grapple. Very nice work.

Let me know if you need any technical assistance getting that vid to upload, I'd love to see it!

WOW. Just watched the video here at work (while wearing a batsuit for our party) and MY GOD. This is just amazing. Excellent excellent work!

I also like how you took the time to ensure that it was protected from scratching over time ... that is a big problem with most stuff I think.

Now I am going to try to find those grapple hooks for my armory!

Thank you. I'm glad everyone likes it.

I can't find the broadheads right now but I'll look again later. There are tons on Ebay and Cabelas. I picked those because they had the look I liked and fit in the gun and magazines. I'll dig out the link and post it as soon as I find it.

BTW the below is not an interest list. More like a reason why there would not be an interest list.

I have a couple people interested but it would be very expensive due to parts required, time, etc.

Basically looking at a grand for a finished gun. $200 for the gun, $100 for parts and the rest on many many hours of labor. These just take a really long time. It would also take many months. Three at least.

If I got 10 who wanted one I could knock it down to $750 for a finished gun including one magazine and two fixed broadheads and one removable "bullet." I could offer extra magazines and bullets for cost if I can make the base of the mag out of resin. My first customer got the second left over mag from the prototype and extra bullets as a thank you.

I think that is a whole lot of money and I'm not sure how many would want one that badly. It's just not worth it to do it for less though.

They come that way. They fly retracted and are designed to penetrate the target on the way in once they hit and stay in.

Someone asked about the Noble Collection gun. What you see in the first post under before is what you get. The pics on their website are not what you get. I still think it's a great gun as it comes and just a little paint on the top parts that are supposed to be black would make a huge difference. But what they show on their website is not what you get.

Thanks for the kind words. Can't say as it's his business but it was a little less than I am offering now because he was my first and probably only customer on this and he was very very patient.

Love the custom hooks. Very nice modification. Appears to be an alright piece to begin with which is surprising from Noble Collection.

Received a question I thought I would answer here and on the other thread. The bolts and headphone looking jack on the back of the hand grip are on the full Hero prop. The real prop in the Batman Unmasked Gallery has the headphone jack looking thing but not the three bolts, but you can see them in the film. They are on the full hero prop.

New ones will have magnetic magazines/clips retention instead or friction.

I am about to start on the new ones. Some improvements include a much stronger safety switch, magnetic release clip instead of friction, and dark springs.

Thanks for the info on the broadheads, that's exactly what I was looking for to complete my display.

And awesome work on the gun, but that goes without saying.

I wouldn't have the heart to do that to my Noble gun, though. It has its flaws, but overall I think it's a great looking piece as it is.

And yes, i'm trying to convince myself :p

What about the paint job Jemeth? How does it hold up when compared to the paint job that was on there originally?

To me the stock paint on the Noble gun matches only one scene in Batman Begins :

It's the only time it actually looks like it's dark bronze and not golden bronze like the rest of the movie or in TDK. That could very well be the lighting but to me, it's very different from this :

Oh and for those interested in the broadheads I just bought a 3 pack on Tru-Fire and international shipping to Europe was $18.

For the sake of realism I took the 125 grain barbed "Speed" model.

When we first see the Grapple gun it has a weird Bronze Color. It's never seen like that again. The next time it's seen it's the gold.

The Noble Collection gun kind of has it's own color. Does not really match either colors shown in the film when you really look at it.

I use Tamiya Gold which, after a dull coat layer looks great. Kevin had a great color for his Batarangs but it was a custom mix.

On my new ones the color will be the same but will be airbrushed instead of rattle canned. Not sure if it will look different but will make touch ups a lot easier.
