TWD Rick's watch?

I have been looking for Rick's watch and of course the KC3584 is going for a fortune but in looking I found that there are 2 watches that look virtually identical.
The KC 1351 and KC3584. (1352 and 3585 are the same but with dark faces in case you want to make your own replica without the expense which I will be trying)

Here are 2 that are currently being sold side by side with and a shot of the backing for the model number. 1351 on the left, 3584 on the right.
One is "New York" the other is "REACTION"

I have checked and can't find any thread to say that the 3584 was actually confirmed off the screen used watch or just that it was what it looks like. I found both these models in various searches they have some with "New York" and some with "REACTION".

The original ads for the 1351 have leather bands but the faces are correct and have both New York and REACTION too.
Also it looks like the New York is brushed or stainless and the REACTION is polished or chrome...

Both 1351 and 3584 are advertised to have 38mm housings.

I compared the photos of the screen watch to both face styles and I would say that the screen one is a "New York" not the "REACTION" watch.

Can anyone clarify?
If people are laying out big coin we should at least know its the right watch!

(PS the ladies model is KC4480 and the ads say the housing is only 28mm wide just fyi)

Re: TWD Rick's watch - making a replica

I finally got around to taking a few watches apart and doing a test run on making a face to match the 3584. I was too lazy to hook up my new printer so you can see the fine lines from my burned out print head but the chrome numerals turned out nice. I am going to use the hands from the dark watch, they look the closest to the actual model.

2nd test. Got the new printer hooked up. Now just need to play with the undercoat for the chrome numbers so they don't have the drop shadow. The background actually looks like stainless but only to the naked eye. The photo won't show it but this is the image I am using for the back of the face.

Did you print out the numbers and lines? They look chrome!

Hey I know this was nearly two years ago but I'm trying to make my own replica and could use some help. I'm thinking about buying the kc1350 and making my own brushed stainless face and getting a new band. How did you guys fare in doing this? Did it work out well?

I actually had to put mine on the back burner so I haven't completed them yet. The 1350 you mention has the black face and its sister the 1349 has the stainless face but they appear to have 3 smaller analog dials instead of a date window. The 1351 (Stainless face) and 1352 (black face) are the same as the 3584 in casing and face design but I have seen them with all the different texts; "KENNETH COLE new york" which I think matches any screen cap I can find plus there are versions with "KENNETH COLE REACTION" and "Kenneth Cole NEW YORK".

The correct band can be found on lots of other models so that shouldn't be a problem.

Good luck!

Yeah I think the " KENNETH COLE new york" is the Screen Accurate text, I'll probably get a KC watch with the SA band and just wait until I can find a cheap 3584 or 3586 (darker face) and swap them over or something of the sort.
