Tron Legacy - Identity Disk Holder

Here's a picture of Gem's holder. You could add a circle groove to it.

we could add that to the next revision. they are selling a little slow, so this mold will probably last a while. the molds are a little expensive to make, so we have to have the sales to back up remaking it.

thanks for the image though, its great!

Any idea were you could buy those magnets without having to get them shipped? I think I might just go with painting the case, its quick and easy.

I've seen them at Joann Fabrics, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and Lowe's. I imagine Home Depot would sell them as well as any craft/hobby store. They've all said things like high strength, heavy duty, super strong, or something similar, so make sure you check you've got the right ones since they place them among the other weaker magnets. If you can pull them apart with little to no effort, they're the wrong ones. If they snap together when they get anywhere near each other, those are the ones you want.

Radio shack used to sell the small earth magnets but I dont know if they still do. Its worth a trip. Love the holder by the way.

I am showing both ceramic high power magnets and rare earth magnets in stock at every radio shack around me. You can go to their website and see if they are in stock around your house.

So Paul and I have sculpted a new prototype Disk Holder. The mold on the original has started to get worn and we wanted to fix some of the issues we had with the first one before we cast a new mold. We will be offering a $10 off coupon to anyone who has already purchased a disk holder and wants to upgrade when the new one comes out. It will probably be done in a couple of weeks. We will also be making one that has the circular cut out design that the ones in the movie have.

As you can see we smoothed out a lot of the small bumps and marks from the original, as well as made the small hook at the top a little more decorative.

We do have a question about this design, do you guys like the little relief at the bottom of the new design? We thought that it complimented the one at the top, but we could take it off. Of course, the one we will be making with the ring groove cut out will not have that. Also, the bolts now are attached through the bottom, so there is no need for the four cut out holes in the old design (tutorial will be posted once these go into production on how to attach through the bottom). So I guess I have two questions for everyone:

Do you like the small relief design at the bottom of the disk holder?
Would you rather hold out on buying one until we have an exact movie replica?

out of all honesty the relief looks a bit out of place even with the hook part. If you were to put a relief a hexagon might be a better one to go with since its more in theme with the movie. But I'm definately going to be buying a hub from you once you release the new ones!

What kind of magnets do you use for the hub and disk? Where do I find them? Site?
Where EXACTLY do you place them....on both the disk and hub? Just the same, where did you get the two part resin, to fill in the big spaces??

Hey, anyone know the exact color of the Flynn jacket EL wire lighting?
I mean I see BLUE in the pictures and the games(or so it LOOKS) and the MOVIE, it "appears" to be white (and should....user after all) but cause of the blurry effect of the "flash back" it ALMOST appears blueish white. SO I'd like to know for SURE what color it is, so I will know what color is it really. SneakyDerezzler used BLUE I beleive...as in the photos you can see it all blue but his disk which is a bright WHITE. ^^
If anyone can share the real color info, let me know
