Tron Legacy: Flynn Lives

Yup! Check out post #4 in this thread for some more info. Since the new digital world is a closed system, I wonder how Tron ends up there.

I doubt he may show up. I mean, the "Tron 2.0" game had Bruce Boxleitner doing the voice of Alan Bradley (and the Bradley character himself), but Tron is nowhere to be seen (and is only mentioned through e-mails in the game), which is ironic because the game is called "Tron 2.0" yet there is no Tron program present (except for the incomplete Tron Legacy security program that you are to acquire from the old Encom server before it crashes, which you end up compiling into Ma3a).

Granted, the "Tron 2.0" game is no considered canon to the upcoming film by the director of the film, but Steven Lisberger considers it as "Tron" canon (as he signed off on it as the creative consultant).

Kosinski said Tron will be in the movie, in what capacity....we'll see! Bruce is already physically in the movie, as Alan, so well see what is in store for the Tron character.

I think this technology could be better spent giving us a prequel to The Big Lebowski and/or a better sequel to The Last Picture Show. Someone should be using this power for good!

Isn't The Matrix the sequel to Tron?

There is only one thing I am worried about when it comes to the film: Olivia Wilde. Don't be me wrong, she's a beautiful woman, pretty interesting actress. But I can't see her playing as a character in the "Tron" universe, even with the pictures of her in the outfit and the brief shots of her in the trailer. But, I'm willing to wait and see the film before giving my final judgement as to if I should put my worries to rest.

Got all 56 of the games. Played them all in the arcades when I was a kid. Makes me feel geeky good. :lol

Making sarcastic comments at the staff might not be the best idea... :confused

agreed.... i have some foot-from-mouth-remover spray for you :) -- although the boardgame version was a classic too and technically not all of the games on the arcade aid challenge were in arcade form ... like ps3's flower, or call of duty or gamecube's donkey konga...... the mod's should not be provoked!

i remember going to the arcades when it was just pinball.. then came pong... and sprint.... and then space invaders had me in awe... and when asteroids came out, i was blown away.. and then i loved that every week for my mispent youth, i could go to the arcade and see what new games came out.... lunar lander... joust... defender... i clearly remember the crowd around 'star castle' lol... then came the laser disc games... dragons lair, space ace, cliff hanger, firefox... i spent years eating 35 cent hotdogs and 75 cent cokes...

when they turned our local arcade into a sports unlimited equipment shop i was devastated...

First off, I apologize. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I actually meant for it to be a joke (in hindsight, I realize I forgot to put the appropriate joke indicator there. My bad). I didn't realize that there was a Mouse Trap arcade game. When I read the instructions I thought it was just gaming of all kind, not just arcade (after spotting the Mouse Trap, which is the first of the ones I found, my assumption seemed to be true. But now discovering that it was an arcade game, I guess I was wrong in my assumption completely). Again, I didn't mean any offense. :)

Don't worry. I kept typing "Donkey Kong Jungle Beat" and kept getting it wrong.

I still remember the adults cheering me on as I rolled over the score in pacman. Good times.

Us old fart arcade game moderators can take the sarcasm.

one of my favorite Atari games was the Red Baron vector graphics. Also a bit upset they did not include Battlezone in the Tron promo.

Red baron! yes!

and Space Wars

and TAIL GUNNER!

and of course battle zone... good times!

took me hours to figure out i was spelling 'missile' and 'splitters' wrong... pretty frustrating towards the end of the challenge... they could've made the guy in the brown bowl look more like what he was supposed to look like...

I'm only in the 20's and don't see where any of them would fit...

i would just stop while I was ahead. I"m in my really late 20's (hanging on by a thread here :rolleyes) and some of these were just things that I kinda remembered when I was reading Nintendo Power when I was 5.... :confused

Are those in the puzzle?? I'm only in the 20's and don't see where any of them would fit...

no not in the game... was just reminiscing

20's... keep going!!

hints,
pink car arrow is pointing at the fender -- if you haven't figured this one out, you will smack your self hard when you do...

the cobra in the soup is missing an -er suffix - not a fair one in my opinion...

Wait, there were arcade games of Silent hill, Halo and Call of Duty?

Heh, and those were the first few I got. Stargate was impossible for me, I kept typing Megaman (cause it was a big man and it was a game I knew)
