Is Tron even in this movie named Tron?
To be fair (or unfair), Tron has never really been the center of his own series. Live action or otherwise (sadly).
Is Tron even in this movie named Tron?
Not a Leto fan. Don't understand the point of doing this movie without Sam Flynn and Quorra
I liked Quorra. And it would make sense including them in this as she made the jump to the real world already. Maybe that could've been a catalyst for the wall between the real world and the computer world breaking down. They weren't exactly compelling characters, let's be honest.
The most egregious thing about this all, is that it feels like a cynical ploy just to keep the IP.
I would be SO happy if Leto only plays a minor role in this. Or if he dies in the first five minutes. I'd be totally fine with that.
I think Disney owns 'Tron' outright. There wouldn't be any motive to reboot it just to hold onto it.
Agreed. I saw Legacy. I own Legacy. I didn't care about Legacy. It's fine for what it is, but as far as I'm concerned, the TRON franchise ended with the first movie and there is no reason whatsoever to ever make more. It's not like it's some grand story. It told a complete story in the first movie. Legacy was unnecessary. Ares is unnecessary. I love the first movie. I don't need anything else.Legacy was a complete waste of time. I'll probably watch this with zero expectations.
Personally, I wish they would go back to the look of the first film. I know that doesn't jive with today's computer technology, but still, it looked cooler. If you are old enough to remember seeing it in the theaters when it first came out you know how mind-boggling it was to see that. It was something totally new. My mind was not blown upon viewing the second one.
It could also easily be solved in that Quorra died being in the world (incompatible or whatever).
