Tron 3 (Tron Legacy Sequel)

To me, I'm hoping that they'll incorporate details from the TRON 2.0 video game into the next film (especially since T2.0 and T:L had so many details in common), such as Jethro "Jet" Bradley (who could be the Han Solo to Sam Flynn's Luke Skywalker) and possibly even include a plot similar to that of the game (in which a competing company performs a hostile takeover of Encom. In the game, it was a company called fCon hinted to be controlled by Ed Dillenger, and even involved a virus that was actually once a human User trying to take over the Encom systems inside. Since they've established Dillenger System and Ed Dillenger Jr., and even hinting that Dillenger Sr. as being a newer version of the MCP, it makes sense the storyline in the game would be a best fit for the next story, having Sam and Quorra trying to stop the takeover from the outside world while poor ol' Jet is stuck having to fight for the system on the inside).

Aaaawesome! I don't see how Legacy's CGI was "bad" CLU was an actual digital program and was supposed to look that way, I hope this movie happens soon!

It looked a bit odd under certain lighting conditions, mainly at the very beginning when young Flynn is taking to Sam before disappearing. But other than that, it really wasn't as noticeable while on the Grid with CLU, other than a few random scenes. With the way CG is improving, it might be flawless soon. I'd love for them to use it so they could actually have TRON in the next one.

While I think there were a lot of things wrong with Legacy, I would love to visit that world again, also. Legacy wasn't that great a movie but let's face it, the original wasn't either. And I'm saying this as a HUGE Tron fan....

I think that is the funniest part, people rave about how EPIC the movies were and in all honesty neither was all that great, but I am STILL a huge fan LOL

Do you think they keep the visual style created for tron legacy? Such as the black and blueish color pallete?

Or do you think they could add some of the first movies more brighter colour scheme?

I feel like there were more plot holes in Tron: Legacy though than there were in the original Tron. I feel though for the most part I agree with you: neither's story was extremely strong. But the first movie was very much an exploration into something that hadn't been done before with movies, and I feel I'm willing to forgive it for a slightly lackluster movie plot because of its creativity. Without Tron, we wouldn't have so many of the movies we have today, including the Pixar films. It truly is a classic and both will forever hold a piece of my heart. :)

The more I watch Legacy, the more I like it.

Ditto. At least twice a year. It's not at all the horrid mess some would have you believe. It's a fairly straightforward set of Biblical allusions set to some action setpieces and fantastic visuals and soundtrack.

More please.

My hopes for the sequel is making the computer world less practical. Recognizers are cooler without physically connecting parts gawddangit!

See, I thought it was a subtle statement about the nature of The Grid and the Users.

The programs can never truly be free of Users, as the entire Grid is designed to be (wait for it...) User-Friendly.

Many people do not see the biblical aspect of the movies, Had an argument with a girl once who was all upset because her kids were supposed to read the lion the witch and the wardrobe and she was VERY much a bible thumper and against any books depicting magic etc. Ironically I want NOTHING to do with "Organized Religion" as I feel they cause more problems than help and she knew this. Took me almost 2 days to get her to STFU for 5 seconds to point out the MAJOR religious relations between the movie/book and MANY Christian religious belief structures. Once I did and pointed her to sites that did blow by blow comparisons from the movies/books to the bible/religion she was VERY sheepish discussing religion with me LOL.

I just watched this video on my blue-ray version of the movie I'm not to sure if it is a sneak peak of a 3rd film I think it's just a little bonus video

Ah, you mean "The Next Day." I'm telling you, that's a great setup. In fact, there's a bit of a text-based conversation between Ed Dillenger Jr. and his father on the same disc, hinting at the same type of scenario from the TRON 2.0 video game (I know that the director said the game doesn't count as a part of the canon, but there's way too many overlapping details between the game and T:L. And the hostile takeover from the game seems like a great scenario to present in the next film).
