Trek Next Gen Movie Phaser 1

Does anyone know anythng about a small "phaser 1" type phaser made for the Next Gen trek movies? I had one a while back and would like another. It was small like the STNG pocket phaser from the first season but it looked more like a pocket sized dust buster phaser. Has anyone ever seen one of these before?

I got it in trade as part of a "crap pull" lot at a local convention, but not sure who the orginal maker was or any history on it.

Any Help would be apreciated.

I would if I still had it, I will check some old albums and see if I have an old pic of it, but it was lost last year during a move

I think your talking about the "new" cricket phaser made for First Contact, I'll poet some pics when I get off work

Here's some pics:

I picked up one of these myself along the way... it seems to have different paint schemes, not sure which is "accurate" since it was never seen onscreen. Here are more pics from my files (not my pic or prop)

I had thought this was supposed to have been designed for First Contact but rejected. Which puts it into a whole "alternate universe" of would-be props, a class which includes such examples as Ed Kline's rejected phaser for Trek II

Brick Price's rejected TMP phaser

Andy Probert's rather slim and elegant original design for the TMP phaser (the final is not terribly different but is somewhat larger and chunkier and leaves out the elegant curves)

And one of my favorite "what ifs", the Brad Nelson phaser which would have been used on the Star Trek Phase II series in 1977.. except in this case the show and not the prop was rejected. :rolleyes

NEAT! I like that Probert phaser! I might have to hunt up an old Playmates STTMP phaser sometime and rework it! :thumbsup

Put some alien symbols in place of lettering on the Ed Kline phaser and you could easily have an alien weapon on your hands. Same could be said about the Brick Price phaser. Shame we don't have a better pic of it.

I like the looks of Probert phaser. In some ways I like it better than the final result.

If it is the little one, I have a few spares laying around...Kev
Hey hey, new guy here. I'd guess I'm a few years late on getting into this conversation... I just saw the date. Yeesh.
I bought one of the FC Cricket Phasers (a plastic resin replica, rough mold, needs work). I haven't recieved it yet, but I have high hopes that it's going to be easy enough to sand and smooth.
If I can, since I love near a Hobby Lobby, I might be able to find more silicone mold maker (I ran out) to make more FC phasers. If not I hope I can get smoother, pre-painted ones for my "armory". I have a chipped Ed Miarecki TNG Cricket Phaser (dark yellow cast resin) and a replica of that one. I'm redesigning it with a glow-in-the-dark power bar (angled like the FC. I guess ower is intensity, and the upper angled part is beam width level), and a magnetically-held, flippable Trigger/Beam Intensity panel, made from a piece of a Bakugan metal card.
Thanks.

Sorry for the delay. My PC's screwy, a Gateway 700XL.
Recasting: Most likely, but just recasting one of the plastic resin FC crickets I got from eBay, which were rough recasts themselves (the handle's end was very mishapen). I sanded them down and they looked good. I gave the second Cricket to a friend yesterday at the Phoenix Comic-Con.
If I DO make a mold for my current FC Cricket, it's just for making a gift for my best friend, or a fellow Treknerd, or for making variants (different triggers and settings). The hard part will be shaping the silicon molding around the whole thing and making sure there are no air-pockets. Then pour the correct amount of liquid resin into the mold, let it set. I don't want to make it a two-piece unless necessary. Getting it out of the mold might prove a challenge.
BTW I wasn't aware how big the FC phaser was! I was thinking maybe two and a half inches, so I was surprised that it's about 4 1/2 inches.
