Transformers Wall Mural / 3D Foam Build Out -Bumble Bee (Pic Heavy)

I realize this is an odd project that probably doesn't fit in any category here, but here goes anyway....

I am currently working on a 3D transformers Wall Mural for our movie themed basement / theater room featuring the Bumble Bee character. I am now in the process of painting the wall. Once the painting is completed, I will be building out the entire upper half of Bumble Bee with cannon arm out of foam, LED lights, etc.

Mostly painting the background first in basic shapes









I even got my 9 yr old to help....for all of 10 minutes,lol



The cat never did help...useless







So what are the odds of me taking this with me when I move....I didn't think this through



This where I am now. I'm trying to paint the details of the figure and then work on the middle ground....including Megatron, Optimus Prime, the All Spark, Sam, etc.

Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated !

Looks great ! If you make your Bumble Bee on a flat base, you can hang it like a picture, then it can be taken if you move?

Yes, that is a great idea. I have the materials gathered but haven't started the build yet. I usually procrastinate, so I have to leave the fun stuff for last so I will actually finish a project...lol. thanks for the tip !

I did a little more today but only got up to the knee. Unfortunately, with the amount of detail, it's going to be a while before completion. I can't wait to get into the foam build though....I will only post substantial changes moving forward. Thanks for looking.

***UPDATE***

Hello RPF'rs

I thought I'd give you an update on the wall. I haven't had a lot of time to work on this, so a few hours here and there........

I also get sidetracked a little and started a scratch build mech bot / warrior. I'm thinking of doing a progress post on that in the General Modeling Section soon.










Hoping to start the foam build out in the next couple of weeks.

It's starting to take shape. If you look close, you can see the outline of Megatron jumping into the action. Optimus will be half in frame on the left. Haven't decided if/where to locate the Allspark, Sam, etc. Kinda making in up as I go....
