Transformers Movie Allspark Replica

That's pretty cool... It's just the right (small) size... And I was going to suggest trying to make it a solid block of aluminum or something. I guess die-cast metal is pretty good too. :cool

I'm not signed up there, are the reference photos of the little cube? Can anyone post them here?

STONEHENGE!
PopBox Collectibles have just sent word about something that will be of interest to Transformers Movie fans. There will be an All Spark cube replica in the works for an October release to the Asian market. This limited edition collectible will be able to be used as a paperweight.

The cube will be around 1:4 scale at around 7-8cm in size (size like Rubik's cube), made of die-cast metal and will be replica of that in the movie. The edges will be more rounded for safety purposes. Will come in a wooden box or sort of specialty packaging and possibly a small transparent base to stand it up on its corner, to be determined. Suggested retail is $60.

So will we be able to buy these? If so where?

anyone check the kid posters?
I saw two(one Prime and one Megatron poster) that had a half of the cube on it. Place them side by side and you get the whole cube. The shot looks like the one from the Movie guide but it's poster size so maybe it has better rez.

I dont know... Im not sure what a fair price would be to pay for one. I know that what i got for the last auction doesnt make it worth my time. I spent close to a week making that last cube. I was hoping it would atleast break $200. Im afraid that $200 doesnt even cover the time i spent painting it. Im not looking to make the unreal amount i made on the first auction, but it would be cool to make back what i put into it.

I would love to get an unpainted one someday, but the price would have to be less then they currently seem to sell for. I figure after the DVD is out awhile and the fever has died down there will be a few around, and at a good price.:)

BUMP!

Any updates on the production of this replica??? I can't make the thing, so I'm hoping someone else is...

:)

As soon as I can work again with Illustrator (the coming week) , I will work again on the graphics of the six faces of the cube (one is done), then I have to send a mail to Jmtwo with the files and an idea...:love

Well after comparing and recomparing every photo in this thread and sorting out the bad ones the photo from the dictionary with the 6 squares actually had one side REPEATED and i had to find the missing side from the Wiki image) I have come up with what i believe to be the definitive Allspark "Map"/ Print it out and assemble and see for yourself. Ive compared it to the ebay image of the screen used prop and to the screencaps and wiki image of the prop and everything matches up. Until now i had been quite confused on where exactly each side went and what was reused or not, so im not sure if this is redundant and im the only one who needed this to see the thing in its entirety or not :p

tonight ill post some pictures of my paper mockup compares to the photos here of the real deal.

The all-spark is 7.375" cubed....just FYI.

There were rubber and allumalite versions of it. The base coat was Mirrachrome.

Keep in mind that it is not necessary to make allumilite versions of this since the Mirrachromed version actually looked much better than the alumilite version anyway. They were not hollow. They were rotocast in resin and then rigid foam filled.
