Transformers Movie Allspark Replica

It looks almost like it's just printed on tag board and folded into the shape of a cube. I'm not sure there's actually any texture to it. Anybody else get that idea when they look at it?

Look at the outer edges of the cube in the last three pictures. You can tell they aren't straight lines, thus the pattern is definitely carved into the cube. The lighting and shadows in the deeper patterns is always facing the camera too...

But I do agree it looks a little too small... But I probably wouldn't complain too much about that...

Let me see if i can answer a few questions. Its not made from tag board with pictures glued to it... i did indeed carved every detail on it by hand. It took me 3 weeks working a couple hours a night, excluding weekends:rolleyes As far as the size is concerned; keep on mind that Shia LaBeouf is little. I on the other hand am 6'2" tall and 225lbs. My hands are probably twice the size of his... I had planned on making the cube bigger but i actually had a girl about his size 5'9 hold the cube and it looked too big. Trust me the cube is bigger than it looks. Someone make a 7" cube. You will see. Hope this clears up any questions. I will take some up close detail shots tomorrow and post them on the auction. Thanks for the compliment on the quality guys. Your opinions are highly respected.

If you know the measurements, what are they?

I made an 8" cube and it just seemed oddly too large... Im very happy with the way the 7" cube looks on the shelf. I dont think i would change it...

Unfortunately this may be one of those cases where the individual has the information but for some reason is unable or unwilling to reveal it. Some of those reasons for witholding information are very valid though it is always frustrating to those who are told "I have the info, you're wrong, but I can't tell you the real info". It may be a confidence issue with the original supplier of the info and breaking that trust isn't in the best interest of the receiving party. I don't know the details of this particular situation, just that we shouldn't explode on a guy for giving what help he can, though not as much as we'd like.

even if the measurements are off a little (perhaps we need to chop shia's hands off and use them as reference), the cube does look VERY good, especially after seeing the all reference pics on this thread ^_^

You are absolutely correct. My intention wasn’t to "Explode" anyone as you say. I really didnt mean to come accross as upset, just more curious than anything. However I do prefer to see facts to illustrate a point. I really don’t mind constructive criticism, in fact I encourage it. That is how you perfect something. Its just hard to consider "its wrong trust me, I know" to be any kind of valid constructive criticism.

Your first try sounds to me to be on the size you are looking for.
You did a great job in weathering it.

Looks good to me. Feel free to make more and sell them to us... cheap. :)

Well thats one way of giving the measurements with out saying the dimensions....:lol. Come on Doc you have to make them, I would love to get one for my sons room for Christmas..well I wouldn't mind it either..:love

Hey don't we already have the measurements from Ben Procter's site? As well as details? And what about my proposal of CNC milling?
