i just got a Trick or Treat Studios Good Guy Doll for christmas! i fixed up the hair and i love the way it looks. i was wondering if anyone has done any interesting modifications! i’ve seen rag doll body mods and voice boxes- has anyone attempted re-hairing or re-painting? has anyone tried inserting an empty battery box? interested in hearing or seeing!

so after some minor modification, this is how he looks. i think he's (almost) perfect

his hairline was way too low and his hair was way too long

i removed the wig and glued it back up higher, then cut his hair while referencing the film

i used some leftover hair to extend the hairline to his ears, like in the original film

my only current aesthetic gripes with the doll:
- no eyelids. which i get, you dont always see them, but i feel like most of the promo shots and stationary scenes have his lids showing.
- the skin color is too tan
- his cheeks aren't rosy enough
- the skin should be glossy, not matte
i don't have the skills to trust myself with a repaint, so as it is now will probably be how i keep it. i could possibly print some false lids to pop in for the slightly closed look, but i'm worried that'll scratch the eyes. i'd definitely recommend to everyone raising the hairline. it's easy and it looks much more accurate now. it honestly looks even better in real life than in the pictures (the lens distortion makes the hair look thinner). all in all, i love this doll and i can't wait to bring it to cons

Great job with the hair. Looks great. How did you remove the hair? Did it leave any residue marks and what did you re-glue it with.
thank you! the hair is just a wig and it can be easily pulled off with some gentle force. there was residue but i managed to remove most of it with rubbing alcohol. i re-glued it with normal super glue

Thanks for the reply. I just got my doll this week, and would like to move the hair line back and over like yours. Looks much better, so thanks for the post and advice!

Moved the wig up over and cut the hair slightly (thanks Halloweengf64 for the tips). Also made a knife and some batteries for him.
