It's been a long time since I attempted one of my "on the fly" styrene builds. But, Fury Road revved my engine something fierce, and I decided I wanted to take a crack at the War Rig in 1:18 scale (roughly). Now, I tend not to be too worried about extreme accuracy, so keep that in the back of your mind. I admire those who do, but if I got bogged down in the details of perfect internal scale, I would never build a thing. So, with that in mind, here's my process/progress thus far:

Starting to add some detail:
Engine intakes are not done...just placed to get a feel for how things will look:
I approach these builds imagining what Kenner would produce for a toy, but beefed up a bit. The doors are all hinged and what-not, and I will indeed be building the tanker of "mother's milk" and the guzzoline sphere-thing. This has been a blast thus far, and I cannot wait to get into the nitty gritty detailing and the weathered paint job. It'll be a big sucker, as the chassis is 15" long for this section. I'll have to make a special shelf for display.
