Welcome Jenn and Shona. Glad you guys are hereReally nice work on this too.
You could find pre weathered (used) ones on ebay UK.I'm trying to decide whether I should pick up a real ice-axe or one of these awesomesauce replicas...decisions, decisions.
Now if my job wasn't so poopy and let me have time to play video games...![]()
You mean I'm not supposed to get lost on a deserted island and use it for survival? You'd probably guess which way I'll try and steer you ;-P but what would you use the axe for? If you had the real axe, you couldn't weather it much without compromising the integrity of the axe itself (as a functional piece of climbing equipment).

Although if for merely display purposes a resin version would be lighter and less expensive.
That looks Fantastic. Great work! I actually got the art book for the new game the other day, lots of great stuff in there. If either of you need some reference from it I'll see if I can do some scans or take pics of it for you.
But if you are dead set on buying the real deal, better hurry and get one before they're out of stock at the climbing shops, as the Rebel has been discontinued for 2013.
