Hello guys SHD Agent SolidZERO reporting in and was able to cosplay for PCC (Phoenix Comic Con) however my gear was severely down graded as i had 3 days to prep for the convention when my wife told me we were going but here is a pic of me and im on the far left side with the digital green pants and if anyone asks why we were not in cold weather gear its because in Phoenix AZ we were facing over 100 degree heat wave and no way in hell were we putting on layers

Hi,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I saw your question about the 3M masks and I've already painted mine. I am also going to wet down some black/grey paint and rub it into the filters at some point, to dirty up that bright white. As for the rest of the costume, it's in total disarray around my house as I am working on about 15 different pieces at any given time, lol, plus waiting for Amazon. So anyway, gas mask pics!

I spray painted the inside of the plastic, not the outside, to leave that plastic look. Also, I kind of half asses it in some places intentionally, to let the paint crack and flake a bit, which helps age the paint. Also, you can scrape off some of the paint to age it as well.

Oh, I forgot, I do have one other pic of some awesome stuff ready to go...

I have one extra one if someone wants to find me at Dragoncon (or I may just give it to the first other Division agent I run across, lol)...

Custom printed SHD laynards ;-) Sorry the pic quality is garbage.

That color on the filters definitely makes it look better. I guess I know what I'll be doing tonight (Denver ComicCon is on Friday!).

Is that the small size mask? It looks really big on you.

Yeah, its a medium...which is the only size my Home Depot carries. And it might look too big but it still manages to cut into my chin pretty well.

Pain is art, or something like that.

A free tip, you can use liquid latex to mask with, let it dry, paint it and then simply peel off the latex :)

I am so excited, I just had to share...Sling pack and ammo pouches came in today!!!

Unadorned (except for the patch)

Half built out...

Img_1168.jpg

Still waiting on a couple more things, grenade pouches, me to finish the shoulder brick, etc...

But, damn am I glad I went with this bag as it is the closest I've seen so far and it was relatively inexpensive. I bought another bag prior to this that I just wasn't happy with the shape, the way it fit, or the size so I am glad I pulled the trigger on changing.

Where did you get it from? Do you have a link? Others might be looking for a good bag too.

I think this looks like a good one too... http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B016LUYNS2/ref=pd_luc_rh_sbs_02_04_t_img_lh?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I got it from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007V81YQS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did see the one you linked - I wanted to get that one (I think it looks more game accurate) but it's a right shoulder sling. I went with the left handed sling because I am a right handed shot and in no way would I put that much weight on my shooting arm, no matter what the game thinks.

It is bigger than you realize, lol. I had to get on Fox Outdoors website to actually find the dimensions at first - 21"H x 15"W x 10"D and it is ambidextrous.

Nice!

I ultimately went with the Jtech City Ranger. A bit pricier, at $95, but I liked the balance of size and features. Only thing it doesn't really have is a place to trap the Dark Zone loot bag to the bottom. I really like the MOLLE panel on the left side, for some extra pouches. https://www.amazon.com/Jtech-Gear-Ranger-Outdoor-Black/dp/B0069BPRNE/

I saw that one too! Just out of what I was going to spend for this though.

Mine has the straps built in already for the loot bag, super excited to find that out today, lol. It also balances super well on one shoulder - it has a waist strap but I didnt see the need (so far) for it after loading it up and jumping all over my apartment...

Damn, I am such a nerd.

That's a great size! I'd want a practical bag (laptop for instance) so this a good size.

I too am opting for a left shoulder carry. I guess we're in the minority, but I agree, there's no way I'd hamper my shooting arm with a bag/weapon sling combo that got in the way. Thanks for sharing the link!

Here is the direct link (they have better pictures than what is on Amazon) - https://www.foxoutdoor.com/ItemDetails2015.aspx?cid=1&ccid=142&cscid=1005 (you do have to purchase via Amazon, however).

Oh, and half the reason I switched bags was because my laptops wouldnt fit in the other one very well.

Hey guys! I've loved flipping through this thread, and I'm currently working on my own agent costume that I'll post pictures of as I go. Are any of you guys planning on going to Dragoncon?

A buddy and I are going. Come find us!!

Mine is right side carry, for game authenticity. In real life you'd never use a sling bag in the first place, so which side a sling bag would be carried on is sort of a moot point.
