TMNT 1:1 busts - prepare to be blown away!

Very cool pieces! Would love to have these around my house. Only problem, don't have enough house as it is now to store all my stuff.Out of curiosity, how does one achieve textures like this? Surely that skin isn't all manually done by hand?

the Mikey sculpt would look better if his face was wider like in the movie

Mikey didnt have wide cheeks in the movie he had a much smaller shaped head then the other turtles so he nailed the cheeks on Mikey to be honest.

Bought the Leo head (got it on Halloween) and really, really like it. It's BIG, too.

It's not a perfect likeness, but it's a great interpretation of how Leo looked in the first couple of movies. Very well made. I really like the detail that's on the shell, and the bandanna is really nice. Eyes are scary real.

One of my favorite pieces, for sure.

well from watching the bluray i can spot out the differences.

i made the face wider, the top of the head wider and shorter, i widened the cheeks, made the bandanna thinner and made the eyes closer together.
I also got rid of the neck veins

i think it looks more spot on to the films now.

THANKS :)

I actually used Windows Paint! :lol

when i see something thats slightly off i just can't see passed it :lol

id buy that too if he looked like THAT

I always saw Mikey as having the biggest head to his body size out of all the turtles.
look how small they kept his shoulders to his head size, they made him more kid like compared to the other turtles.

there are more changes that would need to be done to it too,
his bottom lip needs to be more fuller, and under his eyes need to be less puffy, and the neck tube things need to come closer together.
And get a darker shade of orange for the bandanna

these turtle busts are the best thing ive seen so far none the less

Your attention to detail is stellar, I would love to hear your opinions on the other 3 :)

thanks!! :)

the other three are all cool sculpts

i really like how the sculpter captured the dorkyness of Don, the stressed determined bewilderness of Leo, the brute anger from Raph, and the happy go lucky Mikey.

but the artist took his own spin on it and they come off a bit off compared to the film

Leo is pretty close but his head is too tall and he looks a lill to long in the face. Mikey is way to Narrow like someone squished his face, Don is close but its like a caricature of him and his chin is wrong he had a square jaw in the movie him and Mikey had the squarest jaws. Leo had a flat sloping Jaw like how the artist made Dons, as for Raph he seems like a caricature of himself and just seems off

these are the best headsculpts of the turtles thus far for sure, the detail is great! the paint is Awesome! the eyes look Fantastic! the bandannas kickass

they just seem off or its just the artists take its what he wanted to do to put his spin on it?

here's my edit of Leo

I widened and shortend the top of his head, i made the cheeks wider and more square, i made the eyes more covered, i made his bandana higher and bigger, i made the jaw more sloped, i made his snout more bulbous, i made his bottom lip a little bit more fuller, i also tried to make him look less hunched cause Leo has good posture and stands straight up with confidence and determination.

i also made Mikeys bottom lip a little fuller.

I wonder if casting these in Silicone would allow a better and more realistic looking paint job not that they dont look good already but I do see room to improve :)

Actually, thepropshop is producing Raphael as a latex mask. I got mine some days ago and it is truly amazing.
