Carefully pull the mask up and faceshell up at the same time if that makes sense. These are amazing. I'm getting a removable mask and I'm trying to figure out how I could do the Spider-Man kiss while still having the face shell. I've seen some suits without a face shell and it looks pretty sketchy sometimes.

Here are a few pics from my Face-shell kit I got from Tjack, Amazing work......just simply amazing!
That curve you have currently looks great actually. It just needs to be angled enough for the magnets to line up relatively well, flat, against one another. So I've had my kit for awhile now, but I've been holding off until I have all the tools and the time. Today I tried the hair dryer method on the right frame. I could get a little bit of softness and I got to mold a little bit, but I'm not sure if it was effective enough. Is this close?

I was thinking about that stove alternative, and that might be better!
Has anyone had any success using something other than hot glue to glue the plastic to the frames...? I'm not having much luck.
Every time I glue one corner, the glue comes apart when I glue the opposite corner. And the 'dome/mesh sandwich' doesn't hold either. I'm finding myself peeling the glue off constantly and starting again. Now I'm out of glue sticks and I want to cry a little bit.... Help anyone?

Superglue may cause the plastic to "cloud up" which you don't want to happen.
@SILVERTRON, I'm not sure why you are having issues using hot glue? I have made dozens of sets of these lenses and don't have issues with hot glue. Have you properly trimmed the domes to fit as per the instructions? If you leave too much plastic then they won't sit correctly against the frame and that may be what's causing you the issues.
Hey man have you tried superglue? At least that's what I used for my budget TASM lenses. Good luck!

I also had the same issue, it was my glue gun. Turns out if it is a low temp glue gun then she doesnt get hot enough. I busted out my high heat glue gun and works like a charm!
Well after buying more glue sticks I managed to get one frame all glued up and sitting nicely in the faceshell. The other however is proving impossible. I've tried 5 or 6 times and it just doesn't stay put. I'm not sure if it's because I didn't shape this frame QUITE as well as the other one, so the dome 'lip' doesn't sit 100% flush with the frame. But when I put pressure on one corner, the other one comes away. Maybe someone else would just cover the thing in glue till it sticks, but I'm a total perfectionist unfortunately, so I'm not gonna be happy till it's right ha.Keep me updated![]()
Great idea about the sandpaper mate, I'll try that. And yeah that's part of my problem, having the glue seep past the frame so it looks messy. The good thing about hot glue I guess is that it does peel off pretty cleanly so you can just start over. I'm sure I'll get it eventually but after trying for hours on end I'm gonna call it a night and pick it up tomorrow.Try roughing up the area in question with sandpaper before gluing. I used quick grip adhesive for my magnets instead of hot glue for more strength. I would still use a less gummy adhesive for assembling the lens layers though, you want to be absolutely sure that no adhesive seeps in beyond the border that's covered by the frame.
