Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

I concur, Hear hear!

Speaking of which, let me know if any of you guys want a video on how I made my tie do its thing. Say the word and its yours!

Hi actually i have a Corel Draw design on the tie which im developing as acurate as the screen used, my plan is to print it in a shirt and then manage to turn it into the form of the tie, due to the fact that i dont know a place were they can print in silk? yet, but for now that´s what i have.

Well this is my updates on my hat, I’m currently working on the pins, I’m carving out of wood some, other´s I’m sculpting them myself. The hat mmmm I did not like the first try out, as you can see in my profile, but I’m now working on a real leather type. I made a crown that would go inside the hat, that will kinda give an inside shape and it will be strong enough to hold the hat pins without falling aside or moving. Any comments or suggestions are welcomed.:)

Well done Propmex! I dig the work you've done so far on those hat pins.

Chad . . . your awesome man. Hat's off to you sir!

Hey guys, I have beel lurking a while and learning from you all and I wanted to share my hat V2.0!!!! I know it isnt SA, but none of the things I make are because I usually want my own feel to these costumes and make them more personal. If you have seen me before, you know what I am talking about. Any feedback would be great guys! (and gals)

Oh and can someone help me out with getting the topcorner striped fabric patch to go on the hat please? I have been to every fabric store in hollywood and nothing! Jo Anne included. Thanks everyone!

Nice hats! I like the personal touches! The skull liner is awesome as well as the skull hat pin!:love Screen accuracy is NOT always the best ya know!:lol

For the ribbon on the hat think strips of ribbons Heat N Bonded together! Or you could make up your own version using different color ribbons. The blue ribbon on the back of mine is very wide (2 inches) and that is what I used for the foundation and Heat N Bonded all the other colors to it!

Like SithPadawan I used part of my Ikea curtain for the two red strips!

As a follow up I was going to comment. Isn't it amazing at how small our hats look when they are just sitting by themselves but the moment you put it on your noggin it seems to be just the right size!

Every time I look at my hat I want to redo it and make it larger but I put it on my head and that feeling goes away real quick!

I have worn my hat to Disneyland twice now and you should see the looks on people's faces and the comments:

"That is the version of the hat from before the fire" Umm. Not it isn't!
"What store did you buy that at?"
"Did you buy that at Disneyland?"
"How did you take out the orange hair!"
Cast member "I don't remember if we sold that version here in the Parks!" You don't!
General people "Where can I buy that hat?"
A girl yelling to her dad, "Daddy I want to buy THAT hat!" Very Fairuza Balk like if you ask me!

see those little stripes work perfect
and its fun to know you got a bit of Jack hiding in the costume

and Propmex i love your idea for the hatpins
i cant wait to see how they come out

MrPinski your hat is lovely, well done
what i love about this costume is all the personal touches you can put into it and have it still look amazing

i really hope you can make it to SD next week

SD next week? Is there an unannounced tea party I need to know about?

We SoCal Hatter types are going mad now that the movie is winding down and we are dying to be the Hatter. We all need to meet at some event for TEA!:cry

if we cant to plan a big meat up (in or out of costume) we can probably all meet at like Balboa, its huge and everyone knows how to get there
and they have that little Japaneses tea house that we can have lunch at
