Tie Pilot Helmet Question.

Hello again.
I'm building a Tie Fighter Pilot Costume and would like to know what the width of the Mowhawk is. I have an idea that it is 76mm or 3", but I could be wrong. Could someone please let me know, thanks. I have the two sides and faceplate ready to be put together.
I will be doing a thread on the build once I have finished it.
