Tie Pilot Face w/ Silver Stripes?

I was just watching ANH today, and I noticed something I have never paid any attention to before... I'm sure someone else has noticed, but some of the tie pilot helmets (one of them being the guy that Wedge blows up and flys through) have silver stripes on the face plate. I thought it was a very cool look. Has anyone done a costume like this?

there are various versions of hero helmets with silver stripes.
they were highlighted while filming because the all black helmets didn´t show up very well in the dark "space" surrounding...

looks like the chin, and maybe the teeth on this one are silver as well

and the center of the mohawk is silver. (look closely) they also had a helmet with 1/4 of a cog missing, one with cheek tubes, chin and teeth painted and one that had the teeth, chin and mohawk painted too.

That's a beautiful looking helmet. I have a Don Post Classic Action helmet I'm planning on getting rid of soon, because I never got around to putting together a TI costume, but now I'm rethinking that.

I agree... this helmet is awesome. I really like the subtle look of it. Did you assemble this from a kit?

I've never really appreciated tie pilot helmets till now . Just beautiful

I was actually watching your video on it yesterday. Very interesting. Do you know if the one with stripes has been found? Perhaps it was one that was repainted gray to be a AT-AT driver? (that would be a shame)
