Re: Update!! newbie TieBomber plus pics

Very very, very very nice work Stu. It really looks like a clean n tidy Bomber. Cant wait to see what you do with the X?

Great job Stu !

I saw you avoided some traps like the thickness of the wing connectors and how some parts are glued ! Your paint is great, after all the problems you had you finally end up with a beautiful model !

Thanks for the good words guys, means a lot coming from you all!.
My only regret is it took sooooo long for me to finish it, stop, start, stop, start, embarrassing really:$.
I guess it really was heart stopping with all the paint probs i had, but man that oven cleaner came up trumps, not that i ever want to go through that again!.
I do like the Floquil RR colors, they give just the right amount of dullness i was after in the first place, so after much practice with the airbrush and colors on scrap models i was finally happy to get it done!.
As i said before, every bomber that has been on the boards has been a true inspiration to get my finished.

That looks great,... don't matter how long it takes, you can't rush perfection !

Cheers

Phil

Great Job Friend~!
I can't believe the inner details of cockpit. 2 thumbs up~! (y)thumbsup

thanks Eric.

Thanks Phil. Funny enough your bomber was the first one i had seen done on the boards and got me started on mine as my first SS build, i still very much admire it, so thanks dude!.

Eric, thanks mate, much appreciated. Regarding the cockpit, i didn't feel i could bear to look at an empty hole without putting something in there at least!. Your bomber also got me started to try something in SS as well, so thanks again!.

This thread has been lying dormat for far too long!

I'm happy that I stumbled across this, I was thinking of adding a cockpit to my SS TIE Bomber, and looking at yours, just reinforced my decision to do so.

AWESOME JOB!:thumbsup

Ah yes... slaving for the greater glory of the Empire...

So many builds start, few finish. Nice job!

Fantastic Stu. really clean & love the added detail on the rear & bottom centre section. Killer cockpit mate.

Well, thanks guys, glad you like her!.

Scratchy- Yeah be great to see a cockpit in someone else's bomber, so give it a go, love to see some pics mate, just can't get enough of bomber builds, everyone who's built one always seems to go about it a different way and now that every part has been ID it's a fairly straightforward build lol!.
