Got the stripes on for Red 3, which was tricky getting the blue tape to stick on the parts that are all bent up and destroyed. Not sure how it will all be attached in the explosion anyways, so some might be having the wall.
It will all be weathered heavy as well.

I think this has turned out pretty good.
Once I figure out where they will all be glued on, I'll see if they need more paint or not.

Decided to paint the explosion more, and added more paint, mainly yellow.
I also found a better light bulb, as I felt it was making it a tad to pink.
Looks much better now.
Was sprinkling out, but I painted it anyways. Any neighbor hearing me painting probably thought I was nuts.

Here we go...gluing on the parts.....and Penny decided to help.

I'll wait for these to dry, and then go add some more.
Can't wait to see it all with the light inside.
I also bought a long extension cord for it to plug in. If it all works out how I want it to, will look not only nice and cool, but the cord should blend in the white wall, and turn on by the switch on the wall. So. Basically a really awesome lamp.

Roommates have officially moved out...minus grabbing a few left over stuff.
So I decided to just clean the whole house real good, and get this display hung up in the process.
I saw how just instantly dusty the orangish curtains were, so I'm going keep them off and throw them out. Even my Mom agreed.

The last thing I ha lve gotten done, after taking this pic, was the R2 units.

Once I get it all hung up and the room put back together, I'll get some good pics.

That was a of work hanging four whole models.
I'll use the good camera and get up there and get closer shots later on.

Finally finished cleaning this room. Took like 3 days.....Can't believe how much dust can get on everything.
So now got pics with the good camera.
I might paint the hooks white, just to try and help better hide it all. Might have to move the green couch, which is a chore in itself....

R2 isn't quite the right blue....you can barely see him from the ground anyways.

My Mom said its looking like a Star Wars museum now.

Nice project, the explosion looks fantastic. I noticed you have a couple filaments hanging out of the explosion here and there, what did you use for that? Side-glow fiberoptic?

They are actually pieces from the sci-fi Lego kits used on their spaceships. I had a bunch, so went through all the old lego boxes and found enough. They were the yellowish transparent ones, but I did brush on a light coat of yellow paint as well. Funny how that all really worked so well.

Having a big huge Christmas eve party tomorrow, so parents are here helping set up. Was outside getting chairs from the shed, and my Mom was like, oh look, some bird got ahold of someone's pillow for their nest.
I realized, making the explosion for this diaroma, that parts of the cotton had gotten left outside....and a day later when I went to clean it up, it was all gone.
The tree still had all the leaves, so didn't see it up there.
I had to laugh about that and make a post here.

Was finishing painting a bathroom in the house,m and figured I might as well hit these hooks while I have it all out.
Using a white primer meant to hide an old color.
Definitely looks better.
