I've been trying to get a watch crown forever and never seem to be able to find them.

I know what you mean. I have a search on ebay for "sapphire watch crowns",
any listing that mentions sapphire, watch, or crown, they email me :wacko

One listing was for a bag of crowns, but not one was usable.

When I originally found these way back I posted on ASAP about them. You can still find the info if you search through the old Tricorder and Phaser threads.

The key word you have to use to search is "cabochon"
