Great job on your Thor! I have the same helmet and cannot get it even close to fitting on my head. Gonna have to modify it.

Rubberized craft foam. Wow. That would have been my last guess, so really great work.

That suit looks awesome. You wouldnt even thing that it was made from craft foam.

Ha! I tried deep blue spandex but it just didn't look right to go from rugged "leather" to flimsy spandex. My GF convinced me to try some skinny leg jeans that are a cross between denim and spandex. They worked and I got the tight fit and deep blue color with an organic vs. synthetic looking texture.

If I ever do a Captain America suit, I'd probably go with this fabric over spandex for that too.
 
I still will always love this costume and the way it was made and your presence wearing the costume.
