Wow, looks good (and I hate Thor, but the actor seems to have a certain something...hopefully they don't have him speak in all those "thee's" and "thou's" like in the old comics!)

Added the spoiler thing to the title just in case though how or why showing a couple of pics should be considered spoilers I don't really see myself. Maybe the Destroyer is a spoiler? I dunno... certainly the pic of Thor isn't a spoiler as his pic is gonna be plastered on any and all marketing materials for the movie.
 
Yeah, I figured they were going to go for the more modern comic incarnation but I was wondering how they'd handle those metal sleeve things. I think I can buy into that interpretation. Looks like it's a thin sculpted foam rubber type of thing maybe (?)... I'm curious to see if he has the winged helmet and what it'll look like.

Yeah, I saw that too. It's still up at other sites that copied and posted it I guess. The mods are certainly free to remove it if they deem it necessary...
 
I was worried about how Thor would look. Read a lot of the comics when I was a kid. Jack Kirby and John Buscema both drew a macho-looking he-man. Their drawings always looked "right." Noble and strong. Since then, I've seen busts and maquettes of Thor. But the three-dimensional design of his face, with that long, straight, blonde hair, almost always looks wrong. Malibu hippie, girly-man, wrong. But I gotta say, THIS picture looks great. And the destroyer looks bad-ass too.

He's also in one of the Iron Man 2 vids online, you can see him for a split second getting his mug shot taken as Tony Stark walks through a jail...

Those sleeves ruin the costume for me (at least in that pic).
I always thought the criss cross pattern of the comics was a lazy way of drawing chain mail or overlapping armor scales. This interpretation looks like rubber, not metal. It doesn't really make any sense to me. It doesn't seem like they put much thought into "real-world" construction.
