I am new to foam building. I recently did my first mask, which was the Injustice Deathstroke mask. I will be working on the bionic arm for the Winter Soldier pretty soon. I was wandering if anyone had any ideas on where to start from? I was thinking about buying a motocross arm guard sleeve and building around that with foam, but i am not sure. better ideas anyone?

For a foam build I'd start by making a cast of your arm. This will give you something to test fit the foam pieces on and build on top of. Wrap your arm/shoulder in cling wrap and then have a friend use 6 to 8 inch strips of duct tape to cover your full arm and up the shoulder. Make sure that the strips overlap and cross to get it to hold it's shape. Once your arm is covered then carefully cut off the duct tape arm and then tape it together at the seam. Now fill the inside and you have a close replica of your arm to work on.

Is it weird that when you described wrapping your arm in duct tape, my first thought was: 'Silver duct tape? That would make a pretty good bionic arm on it's own!'. :lol
