i decided to start this thread to try to find the original weapons or parts used for The force awakens blasters!
Here a few that I find!

why does rey's blaster look like a real type gun and the stormtrooper's blasters look like they are hasbro toys already??

probably not the right place to ask, but they go to the trouble to create some nice weaponary and then ruin it with plastic toys??

I agree that most of these weapons suck, but they were barely seen in the film. A lot of OT background weapons kinda bite too. Now if these lazy "slap some trash on a SIG" weapons were hero props, like Rey's gun, I'd be bummed. But they're just filler.

Since the first time I saw it, I have thought it was intentional so that when people paint up the toys to look like in the movie they will not look like real weapons - and fewer kids will get shot by trigger-happy morons ...

I personally like that they are weird and slapped together, based on real guns. The PT stuff looked like they belonged in a different franchise, for the most part. The only thing I'm not crazy about are the colors, especially the white on the FO weapons. They all should've just be boring black, metallic or gunmetal and not blues and whites and whatever colors we see.

I really do love the DH-17 and I am happy they made so many cool "refurbished" and salvaged versions of it.
Especially the grip on this one makes it look like a dressed up hasbro blaster.

I can´t recognize any parts in this DH-17 version....
Maybe a mix between toys and 3D printed parts!

I'm really unhappy with the guns that just look like a modern rifle missing the clip. Doesn't look SW to me at all. Using Glock for a handgun base just doesn't feel accurate to the universe.
