The weapons used in OT were a mix using weapons fron the WWII to the 70´s so It´s is logical that 30 years later the weapons have been modernized!
Even Han has changed his Mauser model.....

(but personally ,the OT weapons still are my favorites,)

The TFA Stormtrooper blaster pistol is a modified KPOS pistol conversion. I've posted this info on another thread.



Umarex makes a replica of it with a different pistol in the housing.


Obviously, the stock need to be removed but everything else about the KPOS conversion kit is identical to the movie blaster that was modeled after it. By the way, the Nerf blaster is about one half scale... maybe.

The Umarex is about $60 US on Amazon and is a good starting point. I've already purchased one and they're nice. Looking to replace the BB Gun in it with a Glock model 17 non-gun.

The sight on the Blaster Pistol in the movie looks like a casting of several parts from an Ar15, primarily the top section of the front sight tower...



... the rear section of the A2 carry handle upper receiver of an Ar15 / M16.



The part they used is the section that encompasses the elevation turret knob and the charging handle.

Doesn't look like they used real gun parts though. the sight on the blaster is far too narrow. Possibly they used toy parts and hacked off what they wanted.
