Wow you got the chance to hold it? Awesome!Finally saw the demo from the Wand Team of James and Andrew……one word Awesome!
Guy’s…..I’m Sold ….this version out distances any previous version of the tricorder…from other MFGs.
They are prototyping some version of case in which to put it in.
The micro SD is for future use…..and yes…the sd card once inserted is flush with the side….in order to close over the display top.
Last two pics are the top and back I didn’t share in my previous post. Price point still $300-$350.
I was impressed…. the Team done good…imo.
I’ll be buying 2 if and when possible

Unsure and it didn’t cross my mind to ask…….However the Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas is either this week or next……perhaps contacting Charlotte at Wand may answer your question

Of the two engineering prototypes for investigating the case…..
They both had embedded magnetic closing……and each had differences of fit and form as far as the sides…one wedged and one not so wedged.
