The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

This morning at 8:15 am my tricorder 5 year mission came to a conclusion.

Delivery to Massachusetts via Amazon Prime. The window was 7am-11am.

I opened it up, put the disks in, turned it on, checked the weather and now its sitting on its charger.
Wow. Congrats man. I am still hoping to get one.

Okay, now don't faint... but I actually got a straight answer from Amazon! (Burt, please help the people in the back, they need smelling salts.)

When we last left Our Hero, he had been expecting a delivery on June 27 (today) of his much-coveted tricorder... only to receive an email that the order was (dunt dunt DUHHHH) delayed! Until July 3! Shock! Horror! Many tables were pounded. It was ugly, folks, I wanna tell ya.

Well sir. I went through the unnecessarily labyrinthine process of getting in touch with Amazon's live chat. I inquired, very politely, whether they could tell me why the order was delayed. And...

drum roll

... THEY TOLD ME! It appears that they'd run out of stock at the original fulfillment center, so they had to get one from a different center.

Now, that's reasonable. That I understand. Could happen to anyone.

Tune in next time when Our Hero will either be floating on air at the joy of, at long last, being a member of The Tricordered... or have his head turned into a flaming skull. I fear for my tables.

I haven't stopped touching mine since I got it. I'm constantly playing with it. My wife fears I'll go blind. Ima just play with my Wand till I need glasses. :p
I just had eye surgery and can barely, if I'm lucky, read the instructions or the screen. Once I have healed I should be able to get reading glasses that will hopefully let me see the tiny print, the good thing is I won't need glasses to see distances.

The big advantage, for me, of getting my peepers fixed, was that I can now say "Well, _______ is definitely worse than getting eye surgery," and mean it.
