The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

They're currently up on Amazon UK . Go figure. They're in Chicago as of last week but nothing .
I can't speak for TWC, but the tricorder blog has lots of information.

From Chris B yesterday:

"Chris BarnardoMay 30, 2025 at 10:37 am
In terms of registrations roughly 80% of registrations came from the US. About 10% from the UK, about 5% from Canada and the rest from all over the globe. There is no doubt that Star Trek, and maybe this sort of prop collecting, is a heavily US biased thing. Our shipments will be split between the US and the UK in broadly proportion to the registration by country breakdown. This is another example of how registering helped us get the Tricorders to you in enabling us to get the right amount of product to the right place."

Assuming the 1200 from the 1st US shipment and between 500 and 1200 for the second shipment, And assuming the demand will MUCH greater in the US than in the UK.

Given that Amazon UK sold out 900-1000 in much less than a day.
And that TWC says they are building approximately 500 Tricorders a week.

Then TWC probably wants at least 2000-3000 units in stock (or more) before they go on sale in the US so they don't run out in a matter of minutes or hours, like they did in the UK.

Of course this is just conjecture on my part.

Never has a thread been so replete with tracking info and curses / praises for the mail carrying systems….

It’s worse than Ralphie anxiously checking the mail, every day, for his secret decoder ring…

Why are people ordering without an invitation? Not only are you taking it from someone in that region but you are inviting other worries for your order. Patience is a virtue people .. lol

Chris has said at least a dozen times that there are plenty for all those interested.
Right!

We’ve waited 5 YEARS for this come out, but now suddenly as they’re trickling in, you need to push people out of your way because YOU’RE MORE IMPORTANT than they are! What do you win by jumping the line and knocking people down to get one before them?

Because it's important to be the first kid on your block to have one! Sheesh.

Are you sure it wasn’t cancelled due to your payment method? When I logged into Amazon.de I went to my profile and they had an old card as my payment method. I updated it to a current card.
That’s precisely what happened to me. I updated my charge card and then they texted me through the cell number they already have on file to verify. My order is showing movement :)

Perhaps the demographic may look more like this?

Mainly because these are being listed on a public marketplace. People that just happen upon the sale, or scammers or bots can swoop in and snatch these up ahead of those that have been waiting for 5 years, and are patiently awaiting “permission” to buy.

This is in no way a criticism of how The Wand Co. chose to distribute these. Certain decisions were made based on current market conditions. Right or wrong, these are the results.

There were only 200 in the initial batch and how many made it to the bay? 5? They are going to be making a lot of these. We are not talking something like Legos or Hot Wheels here. The fan base for these are aging and small group at this point.

I’m not disagreeing with anything you’re saying. Based on comments in this forum and the FB groups, few people are keeping up with the information posted in the Tricorder Blog and didn’t know only 200 units were initially (and mistakenly) posted on Amazon UK. Selling out in minutes has set a perception in peoples minds and when these show up for sale again, whether on Amazon US, UK or DE, they’re going to be bought, invitation or not.

That's the way I feel. I understand totally that this is all out of TWC'S control and it's unfortunate that the timing of the tariffs were at the time of rollout but the "invitation to buy" is only a notification stock is available. There is no jumping ahead just people noticing on their own that we can buy. When it does become available on Amazon US I am quite sure it won't be just us yanks who are buying. Just sayin', no disrespect intended and hopefully we can all just realize this is a collectible that is a hot item no more no less.

Remember all that IDIC stuff and peace out brothers and sisters.
