The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

I checked the tracking first thing and was disappointed to see that it doesn't show "out for delivery" today (though it still says estimated delivery by 8PM). I managed to look a little deeper into the Asendio tracking page and it actually shows the package's progress through the system and that it is currently inbound to the Denver distribution center (it has arrived there but hasn't been scanned through yet). So, if things go smoothly, it looks like it will be here tomorrow

Until then I attempt to console myself with the thought that “Having is not so pleasing a thing, after all, as wanting. It is not logical but often true.”
It might yet arrive today--I've had that happen with Amazon packages before, where it's not out for delivery till later in the day.

Yippee Ki-Yay!

Got one of two….today

Second one not so….it’s MIA….I would have thought they’d be both in the same box.

I feel a hassle coming on, like a fever….

Btw….NO TARIFFS.

Not really worried about the second one…….one is better than nothing ;)

Delivery beats Amazons predicted May 6 by one day. Today is Cinco de get drunk day! :)

Looks like that one had a bit of a rough journey.
Shipping boxes on both were atrocious…..if customs opened the boxes they did nothing to re-seal with any kind of tape. Also the Amazon boxes used are of the cheapest corrugated cardboard strength used. Great for local shipping….poor for international shipping. Barely any shock filler material.

Congratulations!

Customs probably didn't open the boxes. Yours cleared before the de minimis exemption ended, so the previous entry methods for de minimis items were probably still in effect. It's after 12:01 AM on 5/2 that CBP began standard entry methods for formerly de minimis packages, which would involve closer inspection. I don't know exactly what each method entails, but since a lot of fentanyl was making it in under de minimis, I would assume they weren't getting particularly close inspection.

Here….listen to the amount of free space…in the unsealed second box…imagine all the tumbling it went through in shipment.

If anyone else experiences the same…document it for any future remote possible claims for this, that, and the other thing…

My wife says…I should open the the second Amazon box and make sure it’s not a “box of bricks” :)

I got mine in and did some side by side comparison shots next to the MR tricorder. The MR is on the left in all photos.

Now we know why Wand created that inner shipping box. From your photos it looks like your product boxes came through fine.

So I notice Wands Screws arent correct - Anybody gor specs on correct replacements? That back one might be an issue to replace since it looks to be captured.

The replacements will likely have to be metric. The back one is definitely captured, poor thing.

Here’s a set being sold for a prop……

The description has the sizes but not metric. One could take the sizes in the description and convert to metric I suppose…but even that doesn’t mean they will fit the metric inserts of the TWC tricorder.

In the grand scheme of things….does one really care?

It’s not like you will change the screws to the Canon screws, interrupt some event by stripping the microphone from the MC on stage and shouting out to an arena size stadium of people…..”I HAVE THE RIGHT SCREWS FOR THE TWC TRICORDER!!!” then do a mic drop….walking off the stage repeatedly shouting “yeah yeah that’s right ahuh ahuh”. Once again does one really care?

I don’t…I’ll leave the screwed screws as is….same with annoying 180 rotating hood and the unsightly micro sd card slot.

Grin and bare…Yeahhhh that’s the ticket!

Exactly …Mon Alien Kapitan

The tricorder boxes are pristine, and much to my delight ….the letters are not flaking, peeling or smearing etc…like the earlier ones sent out…..

(What looks like a longitudinal crease on each inner shipping box on the right…is just a shade of tan masking tape)

As for the screws, someone here who does shopwork regularly can remind us how to measure a screw for thread, etc. I haven't done any of that since Techshop went belly-up 10 years ago. I think you can take it to a hardware or home improvement store and use a gauge there, but I'm going from pretty fuzzy memory here.

OK, now this is just bizarre. Maersk says they haven't received the parcel.

Hello Aureliano,
Thank you for contacting Maersk Customer Support.

Your shipment label has been generated, but Maersk has not yet received the parcel. For further updates, please reach out to your retailer.
