The Walking Dead Season 4

Amy was also bit in the neck/shoulder area and probably had her subclavian artery severed.

I can't see Tyreese being immune.
If anyone is immune it would be Judith. An infant's immune system is at it's best in the womb and in the first 2 or so years of life . A baby is pretty resilient and in the Walking Dead world it would make sense that children would begin to get immunity to the virus or whatever microbe is causing all the crap

Amy's bite to the arm in season 1 would not have been a fatal injury in the pre-zombie world. She definitely didn't bleed to death either. The zombie infection, which everyone is externally infected with, got in her bloodstream and killed her. Don't forget about Jim either, who had a bite on his stomach. He was standing and working just fine for a while, because he was definitely not bleeding to death. The zombie infection got in his bloodstream and killed him.

He's not immune. No one is immune. Saying it's an 'infection' is not quite accurate either. A bite kills a person unless the part bit is amputated. It's not necessarily biological though, it just is what it is. It could be a Voodoo mystical curse for all we know.

But no one is immune.

What will you do if it is revealed that somebody is immune?

There is always. ALWAYS a 1% chance that there is somebody that has an immunity to this.In I AM LEGEND there were12,000,000 with immunity. Small. Heck yeah. But immune never the less

Wait, what? I saw the Will Smith movie only once, but I don't remember that immunity count. I remember there was a fort/sanctuary, but I don't remember anything about the people living there being immune. I was under the impression they were survivors.

If you're talking about the book, however, there is no mention of people who are immune. The infection grips humanity, and the vampires (actually, I forgot the term used to describe the infected) form a new society.

Being that Robert kirkman is a producer and writer on the show, I don't think they will ever have a source or someone with an immunity.

Immunity will happen in time. antibodies will form against the contagion . Look at the Black Plague ,The Great Flu of 1918. There will be that 1% that for some reason will survive because they have something in their genetic makeup that will make them immune to this

You're looking at it in terms of logical reality, which this is not. It's a fictional show. Your "rules" don't apply

I'm not saying it couldn't happen. I'm saying that as long as kirkman is involved, it will never happen. Not unless maybe the comic/show comes to an end and he decides to do it. He's always been adamant that there's no source and no one is immune. As was pointed out, Tyreese would have to die in order to find out if he's immune. Not just dying for 2 minutes and being revived. Dead dead.

These are not set rules. These are odds.1% is not a large percentage in real terms. But there are survivors

Not necessarily, he'd just have to get bit & not die, that would show that he's immune since everyone normally dies after being bit.

Perhaps this is his real secret ...

I'm a Walking Dead and I'm okay
I sleep all night and I work all day

He's a Walking Dead and he's okay
He sleeps all night and he works all day

I cut down zombies, I eat my lunch
I go to the lavatory
On Wednesdays I go foraging
And have buttered scones for tea

He cuts down zombies, he eats his lunch
He goes to the lavatory

And has buttered scones for tea

I'm a Walking Dead and I'm okay
(He's a Walking Dead and he's okay)
I sleep all night and I work all day
(He sleeps all night and he works all day)

I cut down zombies, I skip and jump
I like to press wildflowers
I put on women's clothing
And hang around in bars

He cuts down zombies, he skips and jumps
He likes to press wildflowers
He puts on women's clothing
And hangs around in bars?

I'm a Walking Dead and I'm okay
(He's a Walking Dead and he's okay)
I sleep all night and I work all day
(He sleeps all night and he works all day)

I cut down zombies, I wear high heels
Suspenders and a bra
I wish I'd been a girlie
Just like my dear mama

He cuts down zombies, he wears high heels
Suspenders and a bra?

He's a Walking Dead and he's okay
He sleeps all night and he works all day

There is NO EVIDENCE that this is biologically related!! This is a just as likely a VOODOO CURSE by people in Haiti upset about the lack of international support after their earthquake!!!! So you CAN'T get antibodies from a CURSE.

Even though he shows up in next weeks episode he may still have been bitten and just hasn't turned yet.

No he's 100% definitely not immune to it, that's just silly. If they made Tyreese 1% of what he was in he comic then he still would be the most badass person on the whole tv show. Everyone knows not to mess with Ty and his hammer.

The scene when he gets out of the car with all the walkers is a nod to the graphic novel's gym scene. Kirkman wrote this episode and 04x09 for a reason :)

I'm with MirrorminD. Tyreese survives impossible(ish) odds in the prison gym in the comics.
His surprising survival from being surrounded at the car was the shows nod to that event.

I got the feeling that was what they were going to do the moment he climbed out of the car, and even told my parents about the comic event.

I agree, it's more surprising because if the fact that in the gym, he had a limited number to deal with, while in the show, there was the megaherde.

just get to the damn shopping mall and start tossing propane tanks into the air already. We need some three stooges security guards about now.
