The Walking Dead Season 4

Oooh! Right… Silly me :lol

I feel a little miffed about your comment - as an asian… he's Korean since season 1 and told so once.

I know that his ethnic background is Korean. It was a how the Dixon brothers called him Chinese. 1st by Daryl calling him one only to be corrected. Then by Merle to be corrected by Daryl. Which both brothers say " what ever!" When corrected. Guess no one got that joke

It's not in the fridge, the package is right on the table next to me, only clamsped with a clip where the BB is printed on. I really gotta snap a photo later…
It highly depends on the the bread you have and how you keep it.

If it has been kept in the refrigerator, it will last considerably longer then if it's in the package out in the air at room temperature. Also preservatives. Most normal store bought bread will last a really long time. But if you buy a loaf from a local bakery, it will mold most times within a week.

So, what did we learn from last night's episode?

Carl is a *******.
Michonne MIGHT actually be a human being.
Michonne has a libersaber, craftily disguised as a katana.

I was chatting with my friend as she was watching and every other comment was something unflattering about Carl. She's one of those who wouldn't miss him if they wrote him off the show and probably would send a thank you note if they did.

Not going to happen, but I am totally with your friend.

How the hell does Michonne's thing work? Removing the jaw removes killer instinct and turns the walker into into a puppy? And all the others leave her alone?

I know they did this before, when she was introduced, but was it ever explained?

For the jaw removal, yes, removing the jaw and arms removes their ability to grab and bite into you. So, that means that they lose interest in eating you because they realize that they no longer have the ability to do so. And as for the others leaving her alone, it's really simple: it's the same thing that Rick and Glenn does in Atlanta (only less messy and lasts much longer). Basically, zombies can tell the difference between them and humans by sight, smell and sound. Basically, the smell of the two walkers close to Michonne masks her smell from them. And as long as she didn't make any noise or acted out of place, no Walkers would know she was there. In fact, in the comics, Michonne would quickly dispatch any Walkers she believed noticed her without attracting any attention to herself while doing so.

This was actually pointed out in both the comic and in the show (in the show, it was a scene between the Governor and Milton where it explained both the removing of the jaw/need to feed and the use of the two Walkers as camouflage).

I want to know how good pudding tastes that has been ON TOP of a cabinet for over 2 years?

I also thought the dream scene with Michone was a commercial or something at first. Putting her sowrd
in the knife block threw me for a loop too?????

Me too, didn't even realise it was her. It was like it was shot with a handheld camera :)

How did NO ONE catch Jack-Zombie?? From American Werewolf in London! He was in the horde with Michonne. Flipped out seeing that!

I saw the jack Zombie from american werewolf in london, very cool

I noticed the zombie, and thought it looked cool but just had to Google it after seeing these posts.
And holy crap, yes! That was a shout-out to the eagle-eyed!

I can't believe you would eat that bread that is way pass its dated time. I'll throw any bread product away the day before it expires. It's a health risk to me if I consume it pass the written date. I won't touch milk on its date as well, no health risk tho.

I'll buy the scent camouflage concept, sort of, but the rest is a plot convenience. They can't figure out how to open doors, but they can realize their jaws are missing and then become docile? And if someone or something isn't shambling like the others, it needs to be attacked? It bugs me. Frankly, I don't get why she went rambling along with a whole herd; why not kill them off one by one? But then, the show is a monument to doing things (or not doing things) that make sense.

I noticed Jack, but I didn't make the connection.

That's how the apocalypse starts, eating food past the expiration date! LoL.

A friend at work just handed me the first nine books on The Walking Dead to borrow. How far can I read before I get past the show?

It's not a health risk at all if hasn't molded. Also, milk is still good for a few days (up to five) beyond its expiration date, as long as it doesn't smell spoiled.

yeah, they are [piratevoice] more like guidelines anyway [/piratevoice]

There not set in stone dates.

Many people confuse Use-By, Best if Used By, Best By, Best Before dates and Sell By dates with an Actual Expires on date. Anything in the use by, best by category is when the manufacturer thinks it is best to use it before and has nothing to do with safety.

Anything with a best by date can last well beyond that date and still be edible.

Sell By dates are typically only a suggestion for how long retailers should display the product. This is the dates that is typically used on Meat and dairy and other perishable products and there is typically no problem drinking properly refrigerated milk up to a week after the "sell by date" or even meats a few days past those dates.

very few things actually have an Expires date (Baby Food or certain medicines being the only stuff I can think of)

It's a show featuring zombies. Zombies don't have to make sense (and, to be honest, have never made any sense in any movie, comic or video game either).

"The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy

Mr. Clancy was paraphrasing Mark Twain with that quote (to be honest, Twain's quote is better).

This quote best fits about what storytelling is about, especially from a writer's point of view.

"Fiction is such a world of freedom, it's wonderful. If you want someone to fly, they can fly." - Alice Walker

This next one is not really zombie related, but still counts.

"Every vampire fiction reinvents vampires to its own needs. You take what you want." - Joss Whedon
