The Walking Dead Season 3

After last weeks episode...I'm starting to wonder if they show has jumped the shark...I'll give it till the end of the season but seriously, the soap opera drama needs to stop.

What part of it is 'soap opera' that you don't like? You mean the tensions between Woodbury/Prison? If you mean Andrea being a total screw up as a human being and really only a Real Doll toy deposit slot for the Governor, then yeah, I'm sick of that too.

What were you expecting? Constant zombie fights? Best thing for that is to watch a game of "Left 4 Dead" over and over.

Funny you say Soap opera. I been calling it "All my Zombies" with friends since season 2.

:lol

Seriously, it's just been one dumb drama after another this season between the prison and the city...and with the stupid pirate I seriously have a hard time getting into it...and now with the impending 'showdown' between the cowboy and the pirate...I don't know...it'll all probably happen at high-noon too....

I loved it when it first started though. I've been re-watching the first season and the show was much different/better then.

There's a much bigger story arc that they need to get back too - and the episode with Morgan was a testament to that - it was great - but they need to get back to the BIG problem...or come across some more Gov't scientists working on some form of a cure...something...anything but this recent stuff.

What bigger problem? Walkers? Never going to be solved. Listen. In this world, in this comic, in this TV show, the presence of the walkers is the norm. They are the 'nature' part of the basic story plots of 'man vs nature' and 'man vs man' and such. Replace them with packs of wolves, or lions or tigers or bears, doesn't matter. It's just another threat that they have to adapt to on a daily basis like any survival story. If you want government scientists finding a cure, then you'll need to go elsewhere.

If Rick's group was smart they wouldn't go out and fight and make the Gov.'s people come into the prison. Prisons are made so people are funneled into small areas so you can't have a rush of people. So provided the Gov. doesn't have enough .50 cal ammo to just shoot a hole in a wall, or explosives, they would have to go in and root them out.

So really then this show is done then...

I never got into comics, so that part I have no connection to...

Yeah, the comic writer has no interest in addressing the cause or cure for the zombies. Hell, the show has addressed it even more with that stuff at the CDC in season 1.

This story is about the people left behind. They are.....the walking dead

And seriously...out of all the people in the world...ok, lets say the country...how are these the only people who survived?? Sure we've seen some Vatos in Atlanta, some hicks in that small town, but really...ALL the military ALL the civilians....except this motley crew...

...don't get me wrong, I really do like this show, but it's time for something...more...

Umm, in three seasons they've been in an area with maybe a 50-75 mile radius. And they're still running into folks (the backpacker from last week.)

I hardly call the few stragglers who end up getting eat'n worth considering - they don't add anything to the story.

And you do make a good point, in the 'time' that has passed, they've traveled a mere 50-75miles...

...and I'm just say'n...I'll starting feeling like a zombie myself pretty soon for continuing to watch if this is all we get...

I'm not a hater, like I said I have enjoyed the show, but it's just running out of story...

Walking Dead not about killing zombies. Walking Dead about chit chat, and other mundane you'd likely experience in an apocalyptic scenario. :lol

"Fight the Dead, Fear the Living" - Season 3 tagline.

More like "Geeks don't matter, and fear a pirate..."

...but in the end, a cowboy will always save the day...

LOL!!

I wonder how that backpacker survived all this time. He must not have been alone. What if he was from a town like Woodbury, but without a crazy governor, just lots of food, weapons, and blurays. Oh well, maybe they should have stopped.

He survived up in the mountains, there was a sign in the start of the episode about a mountain and a girl named Erica I think, when you see the backpacker he's wearing a bracelet that says her name on it.

I just hate the idea that they didn't even stop. Not everyone is a Merle. He may have been able to contribute, but more importantly, he was a person. Rick isn't much better than the governor now in my opinion.

I think the bracelet was on one of the walkers that surrounded their car when they got stuck in the mud. And they have learned you really can't trust anyone anymore. No matter how much you might want to help them.
