The Walking Dead Season 3

Ok so are we to assume that the walker ate ALL of Lorie?.....well she was kinda skrawny.....

or are we to assume that something else happened to her body.

Still a bit unsure why rick went all stabby on it

Did anyone else notice that when Merle and the dude were brawling for the audience, he got back into the same outfit we first saw him in during his first appearance?

I was kinda hoping Rick pulled this from the zombie's stomach

Greg Nicotero just confirmed on Talking Dead that Lori's body was eaten. He said it was implied that the blood trail was from the walker dragging her body around the corner and devouring her. It was so packed full of meat from the body that he couldn't stand up. He said there are clumps of her hair in its mouth and in its hands.

We've seen zombies walk around chewing meat off of bones before, so who's to say other walkers that Rick has already killed down there didn't walk off with other pieces of her?

Also during the fight scene you can clearly see teeth in the zombies mouth still.

So did Carl shoot her? I think I saw Rick pick up a bullet but not sure if he fired in the ground or her

I'm kind of getting the feeling later on in the season we'll find out Carl didn't shoot her but maybe instead left her to get eaten, like he seen that zombie from the hallway come in and just decided to let that get her instead and only shot off his gun to make them think he did?

I liked Carl's name suggestions. It's touching to see the poor kid essentially trying to give his dead groupmates a second chance at life through his baby sister. I also like how quickly Daryl sprung into action protecting and nurturing Little Asskicker.
The entire Governor plot rubs me the wrong way. At least Michonne got out of there.
(Dunno how to tag spoilers from mobile. Lemme know if there's an issue.)

I guess every episode can't be like last week, but this one sure was a sleeper. Essentially NOTHING happened.

And again, the zombies look pasty, ashy and very poor. What has happened to their makeup?

The one that was in the cage that Michonne let out, on the right. Yeah, it was like they stuck the actor's face in flour. What was with that?

Regarding the phone thing, I'm kind of surprised they are doing that so soon. In the comics, it occurred after Lori and the baby were killed and they lost the prison. In this, just after Lori's death. I always thought that the overwhelming damage of the fight and loss of the prison was the trigger, not just Lori's death.

I was also amused to see of all of the people in the prison, Darryl was the most maternal of them!! :lol

I dig Daryl's western poncho!

Badasses wear ponchos. It worked for Eastwood. :lol

BTW, I think I have that very same phone that Rick uses, model, make and color. I picked up mine from a Flea Market a long time ago because I thought of how cool it looked (seriously, I dig retro stuff sometimes).

Did the mom
Of sofia die I could of sworn she ran off?

And does anyone have any thoughts who's on the phone?

I think it's the chief of the prison stuck in his office...I never read the comics but this is just my thought

I like how skilled opossums have become during the zombie outbreak that even they know to close doors behind them.

i think she prefers Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All

also, im with you on the governor part. especially with the zombie ring fight. noone in their right mind would support something like that. the zombie daughter part that seems rather tame was another stupid part. didnt like most of this episode.

about the makeup, im guessing they got their budget cut and now that they established the show quality, they think they can let the makeup slip a bit.
the few parts of cgi were also rather weak

Going to repost the spoilers for Episode 6 for anyone who want to read it. Ill break it down a bit incase people don't want to be completely spoiled.

Fate of Carol revealed.....
Yes

More info on the phone ringing...
Yes, and Rick talks to them

Michonne's status....
She has a decent part by herself and makes it to the prison

Full episode run down..
The episode picks up right where episode 5 left off with the phone ringing. Rick is talking to a woman who tells him that she is in a safe place away from zombies. Rick asks her where exactly but she ends the conversation. Later on in the episode Rick gets another call, this time from a male. Rick tells the person that he is with a group of survivors and has a son and a new born and that his wife died. The man asks how she died, but Rick doesn't want to tell him so the man ends the conversation.

Maggie and Glenn go out of the prison to search for more food for the baby.

In Woodbury, the Gov and Andrea are getting closer to one another and end up having sex. The Gov has Merle and a small group hunt down Michonne and kill her in the forest. The group finds a cryptogram made out of zombie parts warning them to stay away that was made by Michonne but they continue to look for her. They end up finding her and a fight breaks out, Michonne kills two of them then some zombies attack her and Merles group. She ends up gutting a zombie as it attacks her and she gets covered in zombie blood. When this happens the other zombies pass by her this is when she realizes that the zombies can be tricked (like in season 1).

Merle ends up killing a person in his group (Phil), he reaches a town and sees Glenn and Maggie. He takes Maggie hostage and orders Glenn to drive to Woodbury. Michonne sees all this happen.

Rick gets another phone call this time from Lori, she tells him that its not his fault and that she loves him and that its time to move on. Meanwhile, Michonne eventually reaches the prison and is met by Rick who had just gone outside in the prison yard after having hallucinations of Lori talking to him on the phone.

As for what happened to Carol. Daryl decides to look for Carol by himself in the prison. He runs into nothing but zombies, and finds one with a knife in its head but its still alive. Daryl notices whoever stabbed it, stabbed it through the cheek and not the brain. He realizes that it was Carol and that it means she no longer has a weapon. Desperate and believing shes dead, he collapses on the ground. He notices a door in front of him that someone was trying to open. He figures it was a zombie trying to get in but failed. At the end of the episode he opens the door and theres Carol laying on the ground, alive but powerless.

About the phone calls. I don't think they plan on using it again. They put that in there as a homage to the comic. But anyways, the three phone calls in order were: Amy, Jim, and Lori

What I'm not 100% on, will confirm later...
Rick tells Hershel about the phone calls but Hershel doesn't believe him
