The Walking Dead Season 2 Trailer

There's no infection, Jenner couldn't have said everyone is infected because they never found a bacteria or virus or anything causing the dead to rise. He MIGHT have said that regardless of how people die, barring massive head trauma, they will rise from the dead and become walkers, but saying they're all infected suggests Jenner found the cause, which they never did.

Are you sure about that? I don't recall him ever saying that he had never isolated the disease (though it's possible that he did, and I have forgotten)... and if he had not, why insist on a blood test? What would he have been screening for? I suppose it could have been a drug test because he was extremely depressed and wanted to see which one of them was holding... Or it could just be sloppy writing.

In addition, I seem to remember in the first episode, the black guy telling Rick that it all started as some kind of weird fever, that would just "burn people out". One of the more common causes of a fever is the body fighting an infection of some kind.

He was talking about his wife after she was scratched or bitten. How funny would it be if he is also part of the new group and Merle now has no hands and is his *****.

Blood tests can show elevated white cell counts that shows the body is fighting something, which could have been what he was looking for as an indication someone is about to become sick and a walker. Of course, he could have been hoping he'd finally find something causing the walkers on sheer luck. But they never specifically identified the cause, only symptoms, and the result (walkers).

Or it's the explanar spirits from another dimension consuming the soul of the person that causes the fever. Or whatever. But "Walking Dead" creator Kirkman has always been specific that the cause is unimportant and not identified, it's only the effect the series is interested in.

I agree with Kirkman. I'd rather the mystery remain, however I would like them to explain just how the world became over run so quickly. Can't wait for the big reveal at the end of this season.

just rewatching the last episode and I got to thinking, when Herschel's daughter/step daughter collapses in the kitchen and is put to bed with a raging fever, high heart rate etc, did anyone check her for bites/scratches? After all she was attacked by her walker mother at the start?

I gotta hope they'd have been smart enough to check that. If not, then I'm going to start sending hate mail Kirkman for allowing them to write his characters like raging morons. Lori is about to push me over the edge.

I was just wondering where the 'are you ok? were you hurt' lines were after they pulled her away from zombie mum

I'm just glad they finally decided to make Rick do something that made him actually seem like he should be their leader.

Hey, he's the only one in the group that has dispatched 2 walking dead girls. Damn, even Shane hasn't done that!

I watched a preview for WD and it showed a lot of action

It was on after I watched Unforgiven last night (you be William Munny out of Missouri, great line) Anyway...

Probably all of it won't be on tonight's show but watched it several times and one part shows Shane and Rick locked up and Shane headbutting Rick

Also, Shane, was running had blood on his face and you could see walkers in the background

I wonder if the SyFy plot ending with Lori in the car crash will cause her to miscarry? I think I would prefer that to what happened in the comic. Fingers crossed for Merle showing up before the season is over.

Wouldn't it be freaking awesome if he shows up with Michone?!

I'd hope they stick with the comic plot. Why shy away from tragedy?

I'm having major doubts that they're even gonna have a prison in the show. AMC are total sticklers on the budget, if they have a prison I bet it's gonna be total CGI and I doubt there will be many exterior shots.
