Yes, I am one of those fans that love ALL things Star Wars, no matter how obscure or random. Star Wars Holiday Special lightsaber? Check! Ewoks cartoon animation cells? Check! Lifesize creature from Droids!? Check! :lol
Honestly can't remember why I set out to make this guy! Probably because I watched the entire series of Droids! cartoons from 1985 in one sitting and my brain couldn't quite handle it... And somewhere in there it went CLICK - I could make one of those! Wouldn't be too hard....
So cue buying fake fur and busting out the scissors, needle and thread (with some thick garden wire for a "poseable" internal armature. Eyes were cut/dremelled from domed plastic (I think it might have been from one of those £1 push lights). He's sat for nearly a year with no "antennae", so now I finally have a bit of holiday time I'm working on finishing off long-standing projects, and got round to finishing him. Strictly speaking his antennae should probably not be made from fur, but it was the easiest way to make it using what I have on hand, and I just wanted it off my workbench! :lol
Maybe I should grow a ponytail and make myself a Mungo Baobab costume?.....
