The SFS stormtrooper helmet replica, new and improved.

So will the full sized version still go ahead? Or are there permission problems from 'you know who'?

I'd like to get a full sized version if/when they become available.

Ps Carsten I gave you a PM the other day, on the prop den..

No permission issues with this one.

We are still discussing whether to bring out the 1:1 scale. We are concentrating on the scaled one at the moment.

Oh... must have overlooked it or forgot to reply, sorry mate. Will check now.

This will hopefully be a companion piece to the SFS in the future. Just got permission. A good friend helped me acquire it, so I'm in his dept.

Removed at demand.

Just need to find a modeler to fix the few issues with the scan I did. It is not as good a scan as the SFS scan, as it wasn't done with professional equipment, but I think it will be pretty cool.

Oh, no, only a companion to the SFS mini. I'm not gonna make full scale versions from this scan. It would be cheaper to mold the actual helmet than print this scan for full size pieces, but I'm only interested in scaled.

Thanks though.

Thought this was interesting to show the differences between the old TE version and the new print.

There should be a shipping update by the weekend, so hopefully people can be patient just a short while longer.

Interesting picture thanks Carsten.

The chin/vocoder is very different between the two pictures. You guys have done an awesome job on these.

Well, ours is pretty much like the scan is, save for the raising of the tube stripes. The vocoder detail was always too oversharpened on the TE SFS, but it was an easy fix with some filler. I never got around to that on mine before I sold it and sadly it got lost in the mail.

That looks very good , apart from the tube stripes and the vocoder they look like they could be from the same mold,
Really cool

Never fear, the Empire is here.

Thought it was cool looking enough to post.

Well, there are a lot more differences between the TE SFS and this one.

Resurrecting this fine old thread...after an eternity, I finally spray- and hand-painted my SFS mini helmet (3rd scale).
I installed "real" lenses and made my own (slightly underscaled) mic tips with real mesh.

I guess I will also add the paint chippings later, here are a couple of pics of the pristine helmet:

I really love this little helmet, now I need the rest of this "mini-me". :)
