so your two last messages got us wondering I guess, so, are you one of those guys then?

I am.
I am.
To clarify, I worked in hand props. And whilst I didn’t work directly on the sabers I did get to see them being constructed, which was fantastic. A LOT of hard work went into them.
Kinda funny they just gave up on the turned glass eye. Those grips are very rounded off... wonder if those are Romans too?
The rounded grips look like they were based upon the look for the Ripley’s / Kurtz hilt:

Been working on it for you. I also like the simplicity of this poster in comparison with the other ones.I actually love that photo with the hand and graflex... wish the stuff in the background wasn’t there

I just need to find the high resolution poster to replace the hand and graflex and get the other text at the bottom. Not meant to derail. Carry on folks.
Just how obtuse are you guys? Do you not realize that that particular poster is the original work of Mark Raats - KramStaar here on the forum, who actually posted here in this very thread? I can't imagine that he would be OK with you mucking about with his art just because you "wish the stuff in the background wasn’t there."
Here's an idea - why don't you create your own original art instead of plagiarizing his.
Bad form, guys.![]()
Apparently I am extremely obtuse. All I saw was that it was mentioned as the Australian poster for the movie in post #333 and thought it was cool too. It was never my intention to claim the art as my own, I was just replicating (the R in RPF) the poster. After seeing your friendly comment I was able to do some research and see that Mark is a licensee that does work for Lucas Film. I meant no disrespect in playing around with the design of the poster; if he wants me to take it down I will. I am sorry and also sorry that this had to take place in this thread discussing the lightsaber for the upcoming movie.
